Game Consoles: No new hardware!

TG Daily has two gripes with E3 this year. The first has to do with the lack of substantive hardware evolution in the console life cycle, and the second is with the lack of evolution in girls in games. (Culture, Industry, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360)

I'm Happy that there not bringing out new console like the PS4 or the Wii 2, XBoX720, i just don't fill like this gen has ended yet and i still think like its only just beginning.

Right on Blackcanary... Asking for new set top console hardware at this point is retarded. The two leading edge platforms are far from tapped out. Nintendo is the only company that needs new set top hardware but those units are selling like crazy so who the heck would blame them for not doing anything revolutionary?

Um - E3 isn't over yet how can you say there is no console announcements coming. There's strong rumours of PSP2, the 3DS and there's a possibility Ninty might drop something else about Wii HD I suppose (ok that's remote).

But on top of all that, why the petulent tone? The consoles are selling decently considering the economic environment - why should any of them decide to announce new hardware, effectively choking sales of the existing consoles (which as yet, for MS and Sony have not brought in sufficient cash).

If you want regular hardware development, get a gaming PC.
