Ex: During Activision's pre-E3 investor conference call last night, Activision CEO Bobby Kotick spoke frankly about the used video game market, a slice of the industry worth a staggering $3billion yearly.
He ain't having it. He has no power what so ever to gain it.
This guy just looks like an ass. how do you take someone with that haircut serious?
@Vo_Cal: Bubbles for you, sir. He does rather remind me of Greg Brady...
Wow.. I don't think there's a bigger douchebag in the game industry.
he only lacks small mustache in middle of his upper lip and we know that he would look exactly like Hitler
He can have the dump I just took.
That's their entire design strategy. COD1,2,3,4,MW,WaW,MW2,BlackOp s,Mobile/DS Guitar Hero 1,2,3,4,5 etc These are "used" game concepts and engines, reskinned and rereleased ad nauseum.
I see his point as a business man, but retailers (GameStop) won't see the benefit of this. GameStop is just an overgrown pawnshop that specializes in games and they need used sales to survive.
Survival has nothing to do with it. He is not entitled to any of it. Can you imagine Ford demanding money for cars being sold second hand? They would outrage regardless of it being sold though a second hand dealer.
MW2 just sold 20 million copies and this dude wants to steal away from retailers..
Duh it's Activision after all.
I like the used game market...they need to provide better prices...but they need a profit.....I dont like what publishers are doing right now
Just give people a reason to buy new...free DLC etc. This is the future, EA's already doing it. It's not just Activision that wants a piece, every publisher and developer does.
He is such a greedy bastard, it is unbelievable!
One thing that can't be argued: His investors love him.
Yawn for someone that rich he sure is a dumbass. I mean your already filthy rich from stealing from infinity ward. But now your demanding money from people who bought your products and decide to sell it because it was trash lol ? If anything I should demand my 65 dollars back from you for call of duty modern warfare 2.
Retailers drop the price about 15-20 dollars for used games, this is going to tank so damn hard. There has to be a cutoff on the used price otherwise the used will cost more then new. 55 for a used game PLUS a 10-15 dollar online activation code? No thank you. I just won't buy your game at all.
How about we all just hate you instead of letting you take something that you have no claim to bobby ok?
No matter what he says I can never, ever think of him as anything more or less than a grade "A" D-Bag. Granted he is a Business Man but no, some business men I can deal with (BP not included)
