Kinect games are fully priced at $60, available for pre-order

Thought you were going to get away with buying Kinect games at a discounted price just because they’re family oriented collections of mini-games? Guess again.

Buhahahah stop M$ your just making it worst!

Imperator2899d ago

Yep, it's just ridiculous. First the treat us to a horrible conference, show us laggy, boring games, and then they have the audacity of making these "games" full price??? Like I said, ridiculous.

MS is officially the joke of the gaming industry.

vhero2899d ago

That adventure game they showed isn't worth the price of a full game! You get one mode on it that's terrible.

TotalPS3Fanboy2899d ago (Edited 2899d ago )

Microsoft wants you to earn those Kinetic mini-games!

Greenberg had this to say about Microsoft's goal for the Kinetic mini-games:

"for consumers to think to themselves 'I will work more hours to buy one'. We want people to feel that they want it, irrespective of anything else."

In other words: Get a job! Get two jobs, ya lazy bums!

PS: Microsoft wants you to get a second job to buy these mini-games.

harrisk9542899d ago

Most of these "games" could be downloadable titles.

emk20042899d ago

ms is just digging a big stupid hole. i bet casual people still pay for it tho.

vhero2899d ago

I disagree the point of casual is it's cheap. Wii sports sold well as it came with the wii and wii-play sold so well as it came with a free controller. No way people would pay full price for those games. Even wii sports resort came with and £25 addon the motion plus so you got the game for £15.

HolyOrangeCows2899d ago

Who's seriously going to pay that much for a couple minigames?

shoddy2899d ago

this shouldn't be a surprise cause MS is well known for overpricing.

AAACE52899d ago

That would be a bad move if true! Joyride was only fairly interesting when I thought it would cost $10. I guess they figure, if people bought Modnation for whatever price it is, they could do the same. But we don't even know if it offers what Modnation does or not!

The Kinect sports game looked kinda cool, but really? $60. The adventure whatever game is another $10 game to me.

The only way these games would be worth the price is if it comes with the Kinect add on. Which i'm assuming they will do similar to how the Wii got everyone to buy Wiiplay!

Myst2899d ago

Whoa the price most certainly does not match the material one is receiving in the game...

Sitdown2899d ago

they stated that the price would be below regular game retail...or atleast that is what IGN reported on the live blog.

SOAD2899d ago

Microsoft will be forced to lower the price later. Kinect games are not full-fledged titles and don't have big budgets. MS cannot justify a 60 dollar price tag.

RememberThe3572899d ago

I was expecting them o be priced simlar to the Wii. I think MS is seriously over estimating themselves here. They are looking like Sony when they released the PSP Go.

SOAD2899d ago

MS needs to be humbled. Tomorrow I hope Sony will break them. From that point on I hope Microsoft will change as a company.

LOOK_AT_THIS_I2899d ago

lol...yep. SOAD

I picture Ivan Drago as sony, and apollo creed as MS in this battle.

DarkSpawnClone2899d ago (Edited 2899d ago )

I Must Break you!. lmao Did M$ ever bomb or what i thought natal,i mean kinect, was suppose to be revolutionary and ground breaking from all the hype it had,i actually didn't think it would be as bad as it was,Sony's turn at E3 will be interesting to see none the less.Is Move is way better then Kinect ? confirmed or deny. Confirmed. lol

Imperator2899d ago

MS can't justify a lot of things (live price, Overpriced accessories etc) but they do it anyways.

TheHater2899d ago

That thought the games the announce were in a collection and not individual retail version. I think they should charge $30 at most for any of these titles.
