Thought you were going to get away with buying Kinect games at a discounted price just because they’re family oriented collections of mini-games? Guess again.
Buhahahah stop M$ your just making it worst!
Yep, it's just ridiculous. First the treat us to a horrible conference, show us laggy, boring games, and then they have the audacity of making these "games" full price??? Like I said, ridiculous. MS is officially the joke of the gaming industry.
That adventure game they showed isn't worth the price of a full game! You get one mode on it that's terrible.
Microsoft wants you to earn those Kinetic mini-games! Greenberg had this to say about Microsoft's goal for the Kinetic mini-games: "for consumers to think to themselves 'I will work more hours to buy one'. We want people to feel that they want it, irrespective of anything else." In other words: Get a job! Get two jobs, ya lazy bums! PS: Microsoft wants you to get a second job to buy these mini-games.
Most of these "games" could be downloadable titles.
ms is just digging a big stupid hole. i bet casual people still pay for it tho.
I disagree the point of casual is it's cheap. Wii sports sold well as it came with the wii and wii-play sold so well as it came with a free controller. No way people would pay full price for those games. Even wii sports resort came with and £25 addon the motion plus so you got the game for £15.
Who's seriously going to pay that much for a couple minigames?
this shouldn't be a surprise cause MS is well known for overpricing.
That would be a bad move if true! Joyride was only fairly interesting when I thought it would cost $10. I guess they figure, if people bought Modnation for whatever price it is, they could do the same. But we don't even know if it offers what Modnation does or not! The Kinect sports game looked kinda cool, but really? $60. The adventure whatever game is another $10 game to me. The only way these games would be worth the price is if it comes with the Kinect add on. Which i'm assuming they will do similar to how the Wii got everyone to buy Wiiplay!
Whoa the price most certainly does not match the material one is receiving in the game...
they stated that the price would be below regular game retail...or atleast that is what IGN reported on the live blog.
Microsoft will be forced to lower the price later. Kinect games are not full-fledged titles and don't have big budgets. MS cannot justify a 60 dollar price tag.
I was expecting them o be priced simlar to the Wii. I think MS is seriously over estimating themselves here. They are looking like Sony when they released the PSP Go.
MS needs to be humbled. Tomorrow I hope Sony will break them. From that point on I hope Microsoft will change as a company.
lol...yep. SOAD I picture Ivan Drago as sony, and apollo creed as MS in this battle.
http://www.youtube.com/watc... I Must Break you!. lmao Did M$ ever bomb or what i thought natal,i mean kinect, was suppose to be revolutionary and ground breaking from all the hype it had,i actually didn't think it would be as bad as it was,Sony's turn at E3 will be interesting to see none the less.Is Move is way better then Kinect ? confirmed or deny. Confirmed. lol
MS can't justify a lot of things (live price, Overpriced accessories etc) but they do it anyways.
That thought the games the announce were in a collection and not individual retail version. I think they should charge $30 at most for any of these titles.
Oh, hell no! $60? For this shit? Who the hell is going to buy the damned Kinect at $150, then games for $60 a pop (this is assuming one already has a 360, which is funny because that's not the target audience for this damned thing)? Wouldn't a casual gamer just get a Wii? MS is going to have to rethink this.
I would've thought $40 at most to compete with Wii game prices. They shouldn't be that much.
microsoft. your pathetic, i want to vomit.
Good luck selling those games. MS.
Are the Move games priced at $60 also?
However, they might ACTUALLY list prices at their conference tommorow. I have no idea why MS didn't even list the price of Kinect throughout their entire conference.
Yup. Both surprised and alarmed about that little avoidance. Are they just trying to avoid making the "Worst announcements of E3" lists alongside the PSPGo pricing announcement last year? Hey press guys, come dance with us and watch a circus! See the robotic elephant! Watch a kid act like he's using Kinect but he's not doing what's on screen! Come back tomorrow! Watch us brag about Kinect forever and give core gamers no reason to buy it! Cool huh? What's that, you say? Pricing... what pricing? Here, have a console! Seriously. I watched this conference thinking, "Convince me that I should buy an Xbox 360 with Kinect. I'm thinking about it. Tell me what's new." And they didn't even tell me what I'd need to buy it. Screw that.
Probably to see how sony will price their thing first. For all we know, it's possible kinect only costs $30 to manufacture. Ms can easily change their price when it hasn't been official to easily compete against the move. They really want Sony out of the market. After that it's nintendo.
If most of them are downloadable, I would expect them to be less than $60. That would be the smart thing to do, but who knows what they'll do. Games for PlayStation Eye are much cheaper than $60, so it's a tough call. Furthermore, why did you have to bring the Move into the picture? Oh, right.... reassurance..
MS just dropped their pants and are patiently waiting for the Xbots to come running.
Soon we will hear kids saying Skittles tells them to buy kinetsports and other junk.
I am not interested in Natal at all (I refuse to call it Kinect). With that being said I was "awwwwwww!ed" at the conference by the Kinectimals game. Paying 60 for that? no no nooooo lol. Those games should be bundled with the Natal package at launch. In regards to future releases, they need to be 30-40 to have any kind of selling power over the Wii/Move.
