Kevin Pereira, Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb discuss the preview of Metal Gear Solid: Rising from the Microsoft press conference featuring sword gameplay called "Dan-Katsu". Cut people, buildings and cars in half at will!
Support for PS3 is fail, game would be perfect for it. Imagine in the slow mo cutting, you swipe with the Move! Hell Yeah!!
A thing like that (adding Move support) cannot be leaked, news like that could be at Sony Conference with Move. Like Dead Space 2, why EA in their conference said will continue at Sony Conference when they already demonstrated the game? Probably Sony will show Move support in the game as Rising.
I knew this would be a hack and slash spin off I mean where is the stealth? How can you even name this game a metal gear??
idk but what other name could you give it. yea what vinnie said this lightning bolt action not tactical espionage action. so no steatlh.
So none of it interests you? The gameplay still looked amazing and the graphics looked great, and yet you don't like it?
I'm not even sure what I think of this game.....I want to like it because its Metal Gear, but this footage has turned my brain upside down.
you're obviously not an MGS gamer captain-obvious otherwise you would have remembered this exact blade gameplay from MGS2. It was obvious that they could develope this idea into it's own full game, I really don't know of any other game that lets you direct the blade where you want instead of a redundant hack and slash. That's why this game looks interesting and that's why you can call it Metal Gear.
"you're obviously not an MGS gamer captain-obvious otherwise you would have remembered this exact blade gameplay from MGS2." no i got MSG2 and guess what i hate it specially the last part and the last boss fight that looked like 2D fighter i think that was the worst MGS game iv ever played and this looks like its going to be the same all over again im a huge fan of MSG and i got evry MGS so i know what im talking about
Maybe because its in the MGS universe. For christ sake, not every MGS title HAS to be a stealth game. I swear you people here are never happy with anything.
Raiden looks like a BEAST tho
I'm sorry, I know it's nothing like an MGS game, but that's because it's a Spin-Off, the point of which is to show you what can be achieved by other scenario's. The game is technologically impressive and I love the look of the game, reminds me of the cinematics.
Hope Kojima announces Move support XD!
before this trailer, going on last years reveal, i was curious about the game, i wanted to see more. now that i have, i can honestly say, being one of the biggest mgs fans out there, i am not happy with what im seeing. to me, this is still just a game microsoft paid for to get on their console, and thats it. this is not metal gear solid. this is... ninja hack and slash like ninja gaiden.
Thanks for the heads up seeing you must have already played and beat a completed finale version of the game. Because it would be stupid to make such a bold claim on what, less than a whole minute of gameplay right......right?......
why dont u look at the video again, and open up ur blind eyes. this isnt metal gear man, get that through ur head. there was no indication of any type of story being involved, just sword fighting action.
looks like they can still have stealth but the ninja assassin type. thats wat his first kill was like. that would b new n fresh n really fun
If it's set in little mini open areas like MGS4 it could be great. If it's a Ninja Gaiden type straight up move from one screen to the next with the hacking and the slashing and the whoopity doo I don't hold out much hope. The slicing is awesome though.
i finally get to kut a brotha up... not like the crap in MGS2... lol wth was that <.<
mgs2 was an amazing game, dont try to sound like everyone else and say that it was stupid cuz of raiden. rising is gonna be nothing but a typical action game. and u obviously have no care for metal gear solid if u think 2 is crap.
It should be named something else. But man the gameplay with the sword looked amazing. You can cut almost anything. I can't wait for this game
