Although the original game was certainly a success on the PS one, additional iterations in the Driver series didn’t exactly follow suit. However, Ubisoft aim to change that with yet another new Driver title. The game has officially been revealed.
Wow, graphically it looks better then GTA4. Lets see how this turns out.
I hope it is better than part 3
Unfortunately Driv3r was the only one I played from the series. Which one is the best?
I didnt like the 3rd one. But absolutely loved the first two.
I loved these games on the PS1 before GTA went 3D. This trailer is just like the first mission of the first Driver game. Could it be a remake? Or maybe something equally as awesome? :D
Driver and Rayman....sweet!
a new driver looks pretty good. also shocked to see a new rayman too.
one of best car physics... i love the driving test in driver 1... reminds me of playing it for hours running from cops.. my best time was over 3hrs.. peace edit: holycrap... its the driving test from driver 1... goosebumps n teary eyes (*_*)..
you had to drive around
That was live action and not CGI or even gameplay....
lol, I was thinking the same thing reading people's comments about the graphics. *wtf are they talking about?* This trailer reveals ZERO about the game, other than its existence. I'm sure some people will be excited, but it's been way too long since a good game in this series was released, so I will just keep it on the "wait and see" list.
I did not see any CGI or Gameplay - the only thing I saw was a real life movie scene.
Looked so promising until the utter FAIL that is the "Shift" feature reared its ugly head. What is this shit nowadays about making games too easy for gamers? I HATED, ABSOLUTELY HATED the on foot sections of the later Driver games and wished that one day they would simply get rid of them and go back to the "one man, one car" setup. Unfortunately these idiots at Ubisoft couldn't help themselves and had to give players the ability to hop from car to car. It's very simple really. You have a damage meter with a limit and if you go over that limit TOO BAD. You restart from your last checkpoint. Hopping from car to car is so ridiculous.
During the live press conference they showed in game video.
Looks great. I can't wait to see more of it.
Love the Driver series. Brings back memories. Although i dont know what to think about being in a coma...
I'm the main character in a video game. HELL YEAH!!!
What roof? Where is this roof that was blown off?
I don't think it's supposed to be taken literally. Sigh. /facepalm.
I was commenting on the hyperbolic nature of the praise when from what I saw, it was meh at best.
if you are playing on the 360 then i would say your roof.
I was so hyped about this game, until they showed the shift option. They talk about how they want to reintroduce the feel of a raw car chase to the series, but at the same time integrate magical elements? In Driver ... how lame is that?
Looks good to me although the graphics need to go through an upgrade.
Totally pushed me away. Shift? Seriously? I feel like I'm in the Matrix.
Ubisoft FTW, also Rayman FTW.
very disapponited, especially how u change the car.... wtf, graphics aint that good either and wats it doin on Wii.. Im sorru UBI my racing desire will be fulfilled by need for speed and GT5
I loved driver series this looks good.
I loved Driver on the PS1.
Me too. This one looks like fun as well.
I think the story picks up from Driver 3 since during the live demo he says Tanner is in a coma and you're playing his mind or his thoughts. Tanner was badly injured at the end of Driver 3 and the last scene of the game showed him in a hospital unconscious.
"My name is Tanner. I had an accident, and I woke up in 1973. Am I mad, in a coma, or back in time? Whatever's happened, it's like I've landed on a different planet. Now, maybe if I can work out the reason, I can get home."
