47 wakes up in a grotty hotel. Stepping out onto the balcony, he equips his binoculars and sees his target in an apartment across the street. The slaphead sociopath waits until the man finishes his breakfast, exits his building and starts driving to work. After hotwiring the most inconspicuous vehicle he can find, the assassin starts to tail him, keeping a safe distance until he gets to work. It’s a non descript office building, though handily, sits across from a nearby clock tower with a handy sniping spot.

Fans have been waiting long for one of the classic stealth shooter games for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC to issue a follow up to the Hitman series. Developer IO Interactive has set November 20th as the release date for the fifth installment in their popular series. Agent 47 is back to join the ranks of Xbox 360 shooter games, and is embroiled in a bloody mess. IO promises the game will be more accessible to new players but retain the hardcore mechanics that have made Hitman one of the top stealth first person shooters for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
Hey gamer’s what is going on? We are back with a new episode of Blank Your Game. We have a full house with us and we are enjoying the show. We talk about what we have been playing, which for some of us is a lot. We then lightly talk about the news, with the big announcement of the WiiU. Nintendo told the world the price point and the release date. We also talk about some of the upcoming games and which ones we are going to purchase as well as which ones we will borrow from each other. Assassin Creed III, Hitman, Lara Croft are some of what we talk about. This podcast is brought to you Stone Pale Ale, and from Blue Moon Seasonal Collection Harvest Pumpkin ale. Both are great beer’s and the pumpkin ale is a really great. So pick up a six pack or a case and enjoy the show with some friends.
Then it would be just like Assassin's Creed. I like the different settings better but they need to guide you a little better. Its gameplay is too much trial & error based to be any fun.
I hope not open world games are mostly travel and search i like hitman just the way it is it aint broke dont fix it only open world games i loved were kotor , jade empire and crackdown for the co op joy.
I hope so, linear game play makes it the same ole thing everytime you play it. I want an open world to explore and do my own thing outside the mission.
As im the BIGGEST Hitman fan EVER Hitman V should NOT b open world, if it aint broke dont fix it just work on what youve already got, its a classic series that shouldnt b messed around with
I cant wait for Hitman V, seriously, CANT WAIT!!!
some games are best when open world, some best in linear fashion. the linear path allows the story to follow the way the developer intended. i think hitman simply isn't one of those games that should be set in an open world setting. the thing that makes hitman series special is the diversity of levels. if it were to move to an open world setting, usually they will have to set a common theme on the sandbox, which takes away the diversity of the series. i think the previous hitman games nailed it right, create a linear level while allowing players to progress in a non-linear fashion.
edit: a disagree eh? anyone with a better argument?
