Analoghype: Aaron Greenberg has revealed that Kinect will need to use a power supply for original Xbox consoles in order for it to work. Mr Greenberg also reviled to Geoff Keighley..
all ready have the new xbox on order
Getting it next month. I was wondering why the first leak said the new 360 was Kinect ready when it has always been explained that Natal would work with all 360s, so why advertise that in ads or on the console?
So original Xboxes need an extra power supply for Kinect? I wondered why they bothered with the Kinect ready sticker on the new Xbox..
Why isn't it completely USB powered to begin with? It's just a camera FFS. I'm sure the motorized tilt doesn't use much more power than an external harddrive.
Do tell how you plan to generate enough of a current from a USB to power a motherboard and processor along with everything else this camera features.
USB1.1 provides 5 +/- 0.25 volts to power an otherwise unpowered device, as well as 500 mAmps. Lets not even start on USB2.0 That is more than enough considering the processor is equivalent to that in a smart phone and the board is even more basic still.
...??? I'm just saying.
I should think not as well! PCs and PS3 have always been able to power their camera's through USB. I expected this anyway.
Why get you the diagree's? Those damn 360 fantards. You are right about that.
It's the sign of the times man. No matter how much truth might be in a comment, if it remotely dents someone's pride IT IS WRONG! BURN IN HELL! ZEICH HIEL!
Yes and the 360 fat using USB magically powered the older XBL camera/ipod etc through the air while connected LOL. We're talking about devices that require more power and otherwise would need their own power supply. The XBL camera and PS Eye have no moving parts or motors needing power LOWLOLOLOLLOLOL EDIT Below I have no idea, I got to go. Different version voltage routing capabilities? Somewhere to start? Don't have time to read it. http://www.girr.org/mac_stu...
ill give it a read
question is, does the slim still have a brick?
No. It's internal, like the HDD(replaceable) and WiFi-N.
and it just keeps getting better. /s
