Microsoft event was so over booked, Microsoft employees got kicked out of their own event to make room for more press. At least we weren't alone in our Xbox reject refugee camp.
Its gunna get hot in here.
Why would they do that?
Giving free xbox's to journalist is one of most pathetic things i have seen in my life. They knew their press was lackluster so to make it up for journalists to not go ape s..t on them, they gave "gift". That ruins any journalist credentials of anyone who takes or took one. How can you trust that person when he/she is basically bribed? Well played MS, well played.
or perhaps that was their plan all-along, and these xboxs are for the JOURNALISTS to write about and review ???? or do you and the people that have agreed with you not think anything other than sinister thoughts about microsoft ?
It just shows they don't care, also buy their way into things.
they'll be getting more money from the causals so just like with there own employees they'll be kicking there fans to the curb
If my employees didn't look out for my companies best, I would fire them on the spot especially over something so trivial!
And then you'd get sued for unfair dismissal... Regardless, people can't really criticise microsoft for doing this. E3 is for showcasing to the media, and the more media they can reach the greater potential for pushing Kinect into people's homes.
I would have walked out of there.
1. This is normal. This isn't an event for employees, it's for the public. If you're taking up a seat for a possible customer, you go away. 2. Who is the guy behind him in the last picture?
Yeah, but they had invites. Why invite your own staff, and then don't let them in? That's not very nicey.
Those poor guys better get a bonus for giving up their seats!
They are microsft. They want money. I feel bad for the employees. Real shady man.
They shouldnt have over booked it in the first place =/ talk about taking one for the team
Was this a good or bad thing for them? LMAO!
They've probably seen everything countless times, I dont know about them, but when my company are giving a presentation, I'd rather be in the bar than faking interest.
don't try to spin it. Obviously they wanted to be there if they booked their seats. Its just M$ greed.
Ha, I'm not spinning anything, just posting my usual crap, I'm not here to try and defend a companies actions. Although, if I were, I'd say it's right that employees were asked to give up their seats.
If they hadnt kicked them out they may have gotten more applauses.
Its not like the briefing was anything special, I pretty disappointed in it actually. They showed what? 2 maybe 3 new games? The rest we already knew about and half the conference was footage for Kinect. At least they showed some decent gameplay for Gears 3, the rest pretty much blowed. Oh well hopefully Sony's will be more entertaining but it will probably be all about the Move just like Xbox was all about Kinect.
True. I was really impressed by Gears 3 and was actually impressed by Halo Reach as well. I dont own a 360 due to my not agreeing with MS making you pay to play a games MP element online. If they would allow everyone to play online but only Gold members to access certain features Id go out and buy a 360. There are a lot of games Id love to play but wont because MS would never allow that. Anyway I cant wait to see what everyone else shows this week. Looking forward to Sony and Nintendo tomorrow. Im also looking forward to hearing what the 3rd party companies announce.
Microsoft should give each of 'em one of those new xbox 360s as a nice gesture :)
only people who opinions about you matter: press
how much left? anyone knows? im kinda lost ..
Tomorrow at 12 PST
That sucks. Although you do want to fit in as many media members as you can.
bad press after a e3 big press conference isnt good, But if your press conference was super-good, then they can get away with this.
The missed the most boring parts of the show, like 90% of it.
the audience got dead silent when they were showing the animals and hardcore draft
they should consider themselves lucky they didnt have to sit thru that garbage
Not a nice thing to do. THIS is something that NO company should EVER do, this is something you don't do to NOBODY, let alone YOUR employees. Not nice, I don't respect that. I truly don't.. Ps: sorry for my english
I don't know what you guys are carrying on about. It makes perfect sense that Microsoft employees would be asked to give up their seats to the press at a PRESS EVENT. I swear it's like kindergarten around here today.
you can lose bubbles for speaking sense on here. ofcourse microsoft should be trying to sell this to their employees...lol infact, they shouldve had a closed door, above top-secret event just for their employees !!
they still could stay and watch no?
I'm sure they are glad they didn't have to sit there, with a E3 that bad they could have thrown me out and i would not be mad.....screw the New Xbox, i want the 1hr 50min of my life back....plus it gives them more time to get ready for the beating they are going to take tomorrow LO LO LO LOL.
I would have left on my own accord if I new I would have to sit through that crap.
so much for being a wealthy corp. only sony handles the Shrine Auditorium !
this may seem like something meaningless but if they treat their workers like this, i can only imagine what us gamers mean to them. hardware failures, pay for p2p xbl service, no hdd, no wifi no more hd-dvd & now they think were that stupid to see yesturdays stunt was obviously all an act & now trying to give away free xbox 360's for a lousy showing and so the media can write a dumb article saying, "how is sony gonna top that"? lol. I got news for u moron, what sony showed off last week leading to e3 with their top exclusives has already topped ms is press conference & kinetic together, and to make it more worse, sony addd another great exclusive game and been getting great previews from gamers & celebrities for the ps move & sony hasnt even had their conference yet lol, talk about overkill.
