James Gallagher from the playstation.blog interviewed Media Molecule's Alex Evans and Mark Healey on Little Big Planet 2.
I heard you make make littlebigplanet within littlebigplanet, so essentially you make your own creator tools (no joke). If you don't belive me, go over the Eurogamer website and there should be a an interview with Media molecule (its late in the video I think).
They say it in this interview too =D
@Craig-Handley I think I was zoning in and out when I was trying to watch this. @Calvin_DIt It was tempting :P
I can't wait to try this out. LBP 1 was awesome and had great creation tools. The community-designed levels were varied and great. I'm curious how the voice support will work, though. I see a lot of people taking advantage of that and putting all kinds of vulgar voices for their sackbots. I just hope the feature doesn't get removed. Being able to record custom voices will make the game soooo much better.
Wow! The ability to make cutscenes and the ability to re-map the buttons commands on the controller! Amazing!
WOW! you can then set up it to change what the grab button is(which activates things..even though the level of depth in LBP2 is probably 100000x more advanced), which could make it so you can make QTEs. Can you say LittleBigGod of War? Every little thing in this game just makes me smile. I predict a lot of GOTY Awards going to LBP 2 this year.
they're really opening it up (and possible there could be room for more at the end of this new game)
It really sounds like any limits you had with the first game are gone here. You will be able to make virtually anything you want, so the variety in levels in LBP2 compared to LBP is going to be ridiculous.
I didn't buy LBP1 sadly but I'm definitely getting LBP2, MM are creative geniuses I can't wait to see more at the Sony conference.
Media Molecule are geniuses! We need more brains like this in the industry.
