World of Warcraft “Real ID” Incoming

If you’re one of the 11.5 million World of Warcraft players, you should be excited to learn that Blizzard is implementing a new friends list management system. Dubbed “Real ID”, Blizzard wants to increase the level of interaction players have with each other. Less virtual, more reality.

The story is too old to be commented.

Sounds like a good move to get people more involved and to provide better communications.

yep, this is all tied up to Bnet 2.0 and SC2 launch.

I'm afraid to even play the game (because I don't want to get hooked on it like so many others have).

When I look at the gameplay videos I'm like "it looks kinda cool and all, but what is so great about it that makes people sit around and play it nonstop?"

It doesn't LOOK awesome to me, but it must be if so many people worship it like they do.

Now people dont even have to leave WoW to talk to their friends!!

dizzleK2781d ago

people still play this? i thought it was just an internet meme.

Nostradavis2781d ago

Correction. There are people that live Warcraft and play life.

Edit: Montrealien that is true if you have a really strong will for me not so much played it for 3years and I messed up in school big time had to graduate a year late because of my addiction but it is nice to see people have that under control.

Montrealien2781d ago (Edited 2781d ago )

I am one of them. been playing wow for 4 years now. I work from home & play pretty much all day. I cannot live without WoW. Glad to see they are going to make communication better

Montrealien2781d ago

shh, people don't accept that we can play wow and have a full and healthy life.

ZombieNinjaPanda2781d ago

No way montrealien, once you play an MMO, you're officially a no life, there's no way around it.

Obama2781d ago

I quit 4 years ago. The best mmo I have played but it's too addictive.

FrankDaTank2781d ago

WoW is the most beautiful game to this day. technical specs and pixel counts aside. if you've been to every dungeon and every zone you would agree. i played oblivion first and bashed wows graphics all the time, now going back to oblivion and lotro feels dull
