Snowblind released the first screenshots of The Lord of the Rings: War in the North.
Okey by the looks of it, it'll support Move I think
ok i'll go ahead and call out the big fat elephant in the room. another lord of the rings game that fails to be open world like so many fans want it to be. i'm not saying this doesnt have potential, i love the level up and loot type as much as the next person. but lotr fans want an oblivion style game thats not an mmo, thats just obvious edit, yeah i know its not an mmo, players want an open world game that isnt mmo, aka, lord of the rings online
its not an mmo...
I'd have thought an RPG would be the obvious choice when deciding what kind of LOTR game to make. I don't think I know of any. I hope this turns out to be good but an Elder Scrolls style of game would be great.
I need to watch these movies again.
Yeah but you should also remember they are the masters of all things action/dungeon/rpg on consoles Champions of norrath was one of the best games of last gen all they need to do is reskin it and release it. @hardcorez Dont, wait for the extended cuts to hit bluray.
nice to see lotr, can we have the past lords games in hd treatment on ps3 lol.
As long as you don't get hand held through the story this could be good. I'd really like if it had a least a little open world, maybe not LotRO size but at least something along the lines of The Witcher perhaps a bit more.
Ooh interest is piqued, @ thesithfreak an oblivion type lotr's would be awesome. Does anyone know when this is scheduled for? I adore bfme 1+ 2 for pc wish ea would anounce a third. @ jack_burt0n you are correct that is a lot of content missing, such a shame!
yeah it would be awesome, middle earth is so large it would have to focus on just one region, maybe add more with expansion packs. but this is definitely not open world at all. more of an rpg co-op game.
Imagine if rdr and oblivion style were merged into the middle earth universe, that would be my social life gone right there. Dlc would be justified to me in this genre as the story could be so detailed and maps huge!
war in the north? sounds like the album title from a norwegian black metal band.
Lair is what LOTR games should strive to be... very open, lots of things going on at the same time, a whole lot of space. I only wish you could have moved around and fought on the ground as a person; that would've really put the scope of the game in perspective.
