Sony's PlayStation Move: Deep In the Heart of Sony's R&D Lab

Sony's R&D manager Richard Marks (not to be confused with the '90s pop singer) doesn't know what all the fuss is about. Following the success of Nintendo's motion-controlled Wii with the imminent launch of both Sony's PlayStation Move and Microsoft's Project Natal motion-sensing systems, there's been a lot of press about the "me too-ism" going on in the industry. Nintendo of America's president Reggie Fils-Aime even called his competitor's attempts "embarrassing."

But to Marks, who has been working on motion-sensing for a decade now since he came up with the EyeToy camera in 1999 for the PlayStation 2, this area of technology is nothing new.

Great guy for bringing this technology forward.

Also, Richard Marx is a great singer by the way. Below is just one of his many excellent performances :)
