Congrats to the US team on drawing the UK 1-1 in their first match of the Football World Cup in South Africa.

They did extremely well, though I do think England had a very VERY slight edge in the game.

Still, I hope they go on to do well at least :D

As far as the actual USA/England match goes, I think USA deserved the draw. It may have been a flukey goal, but they dominated England at the start of the second half despite England supposedly being one of the favourites to win the tournament.

On that form, sorry England, but I can't see us getting past the quarter finals.

Congrats indeed to the US team. Let's see if all the UK fans who posted guarantees of 2-0 or 3-0 victories have anyrhing different to say now. I can't hate too much because I thought the US would lose also.

Englishman here, to be fair if you watched the game America never really deserved the draw, the were under constant pressure, but Green let in an absolute howler.

But I guess its just how the world works, and I congratulate the USA team for defending so well.

I still think England will win the group but good luck to the USA.

i think the tie was deserved. the US was moving the ball pretty good and were stringing together pretty good plays. England would apply extreme pressure only here and there not constantly. A goal is a goal and there's no arguing that it was a tie. I actually felt bad for Green, that was embarrassing. One thing I absolutely loved about the English team is their through balls, so accurate and on time and beautiful!

Umm... you guys know that this story is about a tournamnet held by EA, and not the ACTUAL World Cup result, right? Strange coincidence though!
