GamerZines writes: "It would seem that those hoping for a multiplayer addition to the latest Deus Ex title are to be left feeling a little disappointed, as Square Enix Montreal have confirmed that it is to remain a solely solo affair."
no multiplayer. no buy for me.
wow, really? Have you even played the original Deus Ex?
Awesome finally therell be a good SP based game for once!
i loved Deus Ex but i would rather see a thief game
The first Deus Ex had multiplayer. But I like that Deus Ex: Human Revolution is not going to have MP. Single-player is what makes the first Deus Ex one of the greatest games ever made.
@Phaqutomb Why not wish for both, as a new thief game will also be coming out sometime in the near future
I am actually quite relieved to hear this. I heard the first deus ex got a multi-player with a patch and Goty eiditon, but I also hearth it was quite bad. If they are doing anything right, this game will be those games where multi-player is really hard to implement thanks to the nature of single player game. (sneaking, exploring, conversations meaning not fully action oriented) not to mention I hate multi-player trophies :P (griiind)
I'm pretty sure this is an rpg type game, but if you're not into those, like Fallout 3 or Borderlands, then it would be a "no buy" for you then.
love Borderlands so I can't wait to try Deus Ex
The closest modern game to Deus Ex, I would say, is S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
What are you saying????? Am glad that its single player only
not everything needs mp
If there is no Natal support then certainly no "Move" support either. There are plenty of companies working on Natal games, some party games and some considered Hardcore. We know Kojima is working on things for it, as is Rare and a ton of other companies. We know Ghost Recon will support it and that's hardcore, same with Fable 3.
none was expected!
If you really expect games like this for Natal you're delusional.
I know me. Usually when I buy a single player game I may play it 2-3 times and never touch it again. Multiplayer however makes almost any game have a longer lasting appeal. Especially this generation when many single player games aren't that long I can't keep dropping about $64 a game.
obviously you've never played the first deus ex, then I guess you wouldn't like fallout 3 or ME2 either
I've played them all. Just because I don't replay them doesn't mean that they are bad games, I just don't tend to replay games unless they have solid/fun multiplayer. That's just me. The only single player games I replay are sports games like Madden and the NBA 2K series. I'm talking about me personally and nobody else because others will think different. I was just giving my point of view. I should have known though, you can't have an opinion on N4G lol.
You can have opinion, but expect to be bludgeoned to death by a bunch of words when you have one to share. And that is how we work as a society, still the world keeps spinning so its alright, we cool.
does not need multiplayer, ingiomar you obviously have no idea how good the Deus Ex games actually are, if you like conspiracy theories you will love it.
We all seem to forget how young most of the users on this site are... I doubt more than 1/3 of us played the original. I did. It rocked.
I agree completely to forthmentioned sense!
i could just see natal use with this game and it wouldnt work, move would lol
I don't really care about multi-player and natal/move support. Deus Ex is a great single player game, I only played multi-player a few times but single player is where its at. It's a story driven gaming experience, and doesn't need multi-player.
Good. Stick to what Deus Ex did best.
I'm actually quite pleased about the lack of multiplayer. Now it feels like every game released has to have multiplayer on it for some stupid reason. What really makes you dislike the multiplayer on games, imo, is that most often they add in multiplayer achievements/trophies. These are usually really difficult to get without boosting because of a dead online, hopefully we'll start to see some more offline 100%/Platinums in the future.
not a multiplayer fan so thats cool, though i would like to see some milo type interaction in hardcore rpgs..... not going to happen anytime soon though.
I hope Move is supported though. I do wish Perfect Dark took a route similar to Deus Ex.
Now they can focus on the Singleplayer epicness. When they release it, they could add Multiplayer to the second itteration of Deus Ex, if the demand is high enough from fans feedback. Vote yes to multiplayer of Deus Ex: Human Revolution 2, unless it is an epic single player of which we have never seen, maybe DE:HR3?
expect mp in every single game and plus i dont think this is made for natal or mp either way so im still pickin this baby up loved the trailer to death lol.
awesome, they must focus on a great single player game !
No multiplayer? No Natal? Now this is GREAT! news.
thank god that means they'll focus on the single and that means EPIC STORY AND SP-STUFF
I suspect we're gonna get these kinds of articles for all upcoming games now.
Good, now i might actually buy the game since in will NOT be watered down single player game held back by multiplayer!
That is a very stupid reason. Deus ex is all about single player...... Oh well enjoy your shallow gaming.
stupid commment system... i intended this to be a reply to ingiomar
MP is not needed. The original game didn't have mp and look how that turned out. Bloody awesome!
I actually think this is a really good thing. These days multiplayer seems to be more of an emphasis than the single player/ story.
It doesn't need any of those two. Everything I see and hear about the new Deus Ex just makes me feel like it's going to a on par with the first one even more.
Room for a better singleplayer! Honestly, the first Deus Ex was amazing. Those who haven't tried it, should. I wonder if we'll see any references to Bob Page in this.
Sound as a pound mate.
