IGN writes: "If you've never read Bryan Lee O'Malley's Scott Pilgrim books, the initial appeal of the film and subsequent downloadable game from Ubisoft might escape you. Give it a moment. The absolutely bizarre nature of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is infectious. Giant piggy banks roam the rainbow-colored subspace (it's the space between spaces), harpies chuck fireballs and ruin a local concert, and a 23-year-old ne'er-do-well commands an uppercut that shatters men's souls. Even if you know nothing about the comic book series, you shouldn't have any problems diving into this strange and wondrous world".
