Microsoft Will Reveal Something About Natal That Starts With .. “The Lo…” What Could It Be?

Who would have ever thought we’d come this far in the gaming industry? No longer is the artform something for kids only. No, gaming has extented its reach and come E3, Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo are planning to take the revolution even further.

But Microsoft’s plans are more ambitious than Sony and Nintendo’s combined in the motion sensing department. In fact the software giant is planning something so big, so great, that it’s hired one of the most popular networks, MTV, to witness the Project Natal experience live.

And what’s this “The Lo” that’s getting Matt Singley, Sr. Dir. of Social Media Strategy for the Xbox and Zune divisions so excited about?

Microsoft might be shooting way to high here with all this Natal stuff. I'm telling you this might fail, and fail hard.

or it MIGHT succeed and be successful, and the world MIGHT end tomorrow, and the stock market MIGHT crash again...cool thing about the word "might" is that you cant really be wrong until its proven

niceguywii602509d ago (Edited 2509d ago )

People don't walk around saying they might die! after something good happens in their lives. Like you said everything has a MIGHT related to it but this article is about something folks are very excited for.

Do you get it? Sony might have a new PSP and if Sony were to say they are very excited about something related to it, is it normal for Somebody to say it "might" fail in that article?

How in the hell is marketing your product getting it exposure a bad thing? What alaa realy said is he doesn't like that Natal will be front and center in popular opinion and it will win over the casual masses etc.

I guess alaa should have explained a better way for Microsoft to market Natal assuming his intent was concern and not stealth trolling ;)

IdleLeeSiuLung2508d ago

So more surprises and information is bad now? It could kill your product!

MIGHT be if you are in a console war and prefer the competitor's product, I would say!!!

LOL, oh GamesThirst. Such a delusional fanboy site.
Natal is teh bestest because it's gonna be on MTVz.

HolyOrangeCows2508d ago

Furthermore, who is psychotic enough to relate MTV with Ambition?

Michale Flatley is going to be on hand to unveil the new Natal Riverdance game!

Milo

quoting my previous post:

"Lo... as in MILO.... I can't wait to see adults have awkward moments with little digital 10 year old boys... I'm sorry doesn't excite me..."

Not seeing finger tracking, augmented reality or any video editing/recording options. The last may not be all that big a deal, but if Natal doesn't have some of the PSeye's basic features, how is it really that more advanced?

SOAD2509d ago

Does PSeye do finger tracking?

And what is augmented reality? It sounds like a ten dollar word.

Godmars2902508d ago (Edited 2508d ago )

That's what Move is for, for finer control that PSeye can't do on its own.

Augmented reality is something like Eye of Judgment, Eyepet. this stuff:

the look of disappointment when you finally see it?

"The Lo..." sers that are trolling my comment?

candystop2508d ago

Yeah there really backing the product but I say let's just wait for E3 to see what there going on about. I honestly would like to see Natal blow my mind but of course time will tell in like 2 days.

R2D22508d ago

I remeber the same thing being said about the Wii. TBH I not that hype about both Move and Natal but if all goes well for MS this might pay off big time.

tplarkin72508d ago

Maybe "lo" is short for Milo? Peter Moleneux's demo may be a real game now.

jebabcock2508d ago (Edited 2508d ago )

Lo... as in MILO.... I can't wait to see adults have awkward moments with little digital 10 year old boys... I'm sorry doesn't excite me...

I am sorry. But I don't even know you. What makes you think you can set my expectations for anything?

"The Long Lag"

Yup. One of my trusted inside sources told me. It's totally legit, just like all of the no-name blogs' "trusted sources" *Rolls Eyes*

Take into account that the Zune has been a complete failure.

edhe2508d ago

No, it hasn't.

It ended up the #2 brand of mp3 player for a while, which is not a failure.

Zune isn't finished evolving, that's pretty apparent.

FragMnTagM2508d ago

A marketing failure, but definitely not a hardware failure. The Zune is actually a really well done PMP.

aviator1892508d ago

The zune, while a commercial failure, has proven to be an excellent product.
