That was a pretty good list
the energizer one was the best.
I'm stuck between that one... and who drinks 100 thermoses of coffee after they have been sitting out in the woods lol...
now THAT is the kind of a list that i want to read not the same fans crab and "why product y is gonna fail" articles good read
"Tornadoes are reserved for the parts of the country we don't really care about" LOL, that isn't very nice.
Wow.. I remember seeing an article with the same title with Heavy Rain instead of Alan Wake. =/ edit- This was a hilarious read too xD
1st, it was HR and now AW! I hope this won't discourage non-American devs to keep doing what they are doing! not everything must be perfectly matched to their real life counter-part because it's just a game! plus, those Energizers might be some knock off brand from China! if they chose to use Duracells instead, Alan will be accompanied by pink rabbits all the time thus making the game not scary at all!
no 10 is spot on ... i hate tht guy... and no 4... "we rarely leave 100 thermoses of it in the wilderness. When we do, we don't usually drink it afterwards" lol well written .. props peace
That was really funny!
that squirrel pic almost made me spit up my own coffee...which i didn't find outside fyi.
You sure it wasn't? maybe someone snuck in and replaced ur coffe with what they found outside! *shock*
dear god iv'e been compromised abort mission
At least the voice actors sound American. *cough*Heavy Rain*cough*
Yes, because everyone living in the States sounds like they were born in L.A., Atlanta, Boston, or the Bronx.
UHN! Hot Pants! AH! HOT PANTS! Gonna make sweat... uh! AH! GET UP OFFA THAT THANG! UHN! The woman gotsa use just what she has, to get just what she wants uh! HOT PANTS! UHN!
Damn, I wasn't hating on Heavy Rain, liked it a lot. Same with Alan Wake. Geeze, N4G users need to lighten up (No pun intended).
Hohoho! I know you said that there was no pun intended, but it was good nonetheless.
jokes and sarcasm doesn't come across well on the internet. Try typing in '/s' or 'jk' and save yourself some flaming lol n4g doesn't not let down until you beat you senseless :(
Just out of curiosity, is there a particular character you're referring to? I'm trying to think of a single character that didn't sound American in Heavy Rain, and I'm coming up blank.
I remember a few dodgy Boston-ish accents, but the kid in the flashback was unbelievably French.
"8. While Washington drivers aren't the worst in the country, we don't crash our cars and block the roads when there is a looming threat we don't know about (unless you live near the retirement home in Issaquah)." OK, that was pretty funny.
I finished Alan Wake about a week ago and I have to say I'm impressed. There are a few things that make you scratch your head like above but man this game grows on you.
Reminds me of the many misconceptions Heavy Rain had, the awful accents annoyed the hell out of me.
//3. We tend to coordinate our mouths with everything that comes out of them. I am told other nations do this, though I have never been to Finland.// I am a bit ashamed to admit that I have only little idea what "coordinate our mouths" might mean. But as a Finn I can say that - unlike in many countries where its considered polite to look in to the eyes of the person who you are talking to. Its completely different in Finland, here most find it annoying and thus we rarely watch in the direction of the person we are talking to (with few exceptions. ex. formal, intimate situations ) or is it perhaps just joke on lips sync?
yeah, i believe he is talking about the bad lip syncing. (also found in alot of games)
yea a lot of cultures find it rude to lookin they eyes in a conversation
"It's difficult to believe everyone knows a writer when they see one, as we don't read. Please see our newspaper industry, especially the Seattle PI. " we need more articles like this give us a laugh between laughing at fanbois coments
That was pretty hilarious. I especially agree on the rain being absent from the game. As much as I loved the game I kept hoping that it would rain at some point. It would have looked awesome and added to the creepy outdoor atmosphere.
