Aksys Games revealed today the box art of the much awaited follow up title of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Looks good. The first BlazBlue was awesome.
It may be hard to understand, but this game actually has a good story mode. I know right? Fighter with a story? Well it's true. Also, every character fights completely different so it's like paying a new game for each character. There's no clones or fight-alikes. It's easy to pick up and play while doing cool crap from the start but it's rewarding to master and it only gets more flashier from the start so don't be afraid to pick this game up even if you are new to the series or even the genre.
The moment you mentioned clones Street Fighter came to mind. xD Also agree on the story.
but is fight stick is a must?
I would say it isn't necessary as the controls are very good for consoles but a fight stick like in all fighting games will improve the experience greatly. The arcade version uses a 4 button layout with an 8-way joystick so you know.
After playing blazblue for a while now, it puts street fighter to shame.
Can't wait for the game to be released next month!
I'd rather have Guilty Gear than this imitation garbage.
then you should play guilty gear 2.0 then oh wait ....
It's from the Guilty Gear creators ...
I'll pre-order soon...
I should get the first one, it's like the 2-D fighting game genre has been revitalized.
You should, such a great game!
Considering Continuum Shift is supposed to be like a "Super" version of the original BB I'd recommend you wait for this version to release
Not necessarily. Continuum shift has a new story as well and BlazBlue is one of the only fighting games where the story is good enough to be considered important. The original is cheap now anyway.
You all are silly saying junk like BB has rejuvenated and reinvented the fight genre yet every one in the tournament scene, which is the real test of a fight game's worth, are playing Guilty Gear and not BB, why? because GG is just better. but i do think this new bb will be better than the first cause super 4 has shown that rebalancing is neccessary and can be done well.
People play Super Smash Brother Brawl competitively. To say that no one play Blazblue competitively and they're all playing Guilty Gear is just ignorant.
dammit why i have to buy this again dammitttttttttttt
its a fighting game sequel. most of the time thats how they are, they dont name it part 2 because if they did they would have to completley change how the game plays, i mean look at the differences between the sf1-4 games. all other titles get new characters, moves, endings etc but dont count as a full sequel. look at guilty gear for example, guilty gear 2 is way to different from the other titles, yet there have been 7-8 releases of GGX series, so u know its the way it is :)
