Gamestyle writes: "After the above average Tomb Raider: Underworld, things turned sour for Lara as the game received a poor response at retail. This in turn created tension at the developer and a change in the planned downloadable content causing some criticism. Underworld was actually a return to form for the battered series and it deserved a better fate than it received. Sadly the damage was caused by previous titles such as Angel of Darkness and ultimately the high benchmark set by the first two entries. Many thought the damage was terminal yet Crystal Dynamics with the support of Square-Enix look set to try again."
