GamerZines: We chat with Crysis 2's executive producer Nathan Camarillo about what makes this sequel so ambitious and exciting.
"We saw the game demoed on a Xbox 360, why not the other platforms? NC:...It's easier to wow people from the bottom up and continue to wow them." ..oof harsh words, but fair point. Looking forward to seeing how the nano-suit will work with a controller though.
But I have my doubts. It's suppose to be equal on both platforms. That's how the dev kits work.
Multiplats generally look about the same since they develop game on one console and then port it to other so they are not utilizing power of any platform. With Cryengine 3,code is written to scale performance on all 3 platforms in real time in sandbox editor, they have written code for 360 and ps3(spus) and when they are adding stuff while developing engine scales itself on platforms according to their power so that should remove crappy ports and limited power usage.
Looking forward to the game BUT I wish these guys would stop trashing the consoles. His comment " from the bottom up " was in regards to CONSOLE Vs PC...The bottom being CONSOLES, meaning ALL consoles.... Personally, going up against COD Black ops could be a do or die moment for them. On one hand, it releases the same month, so direct comparisons won't be made a month apart. On the other hand, Black ops looks incredible with a solid fan base. I'm worried for these guys. Also, Halo Reach releases in September...Medal of Honor in October...So-com is in there somewhere....Brink sometime in the Fall, and of course COD...PLUS any E3 surprises...They have a serious line up of top notch competition...I think they should tone down the rhetoric...promote your game, stay away from comparisions...lol...just saying... In regards to the PC, he states the the game will scale to whatever equipement/gear you have...meaning, if you have the best of the best, the game will look " amazing "....so says Crytek...
Black ops looks incredible..... WHAT? Its probably gonna be using an ancient engine and running at 630p is that the standard console users are happy with?
PC will obviously be miles ahead. With the PS3 and 360 swapping places from time to time. The differences will be so small that its no point even discussing it. Anyone wanting to see a real difference will go with the PC version just the way it is with any multiplat.
wtf whenever i click on the link it redirects me to the home page
what crap are you saying
I don't like that sentence. Fine... I was hoping for great...amazing maybe... not fine.
