PS3Blog gets some hands-on with three, 3D games from Sony, Motorstorm: Pacific Rift, Super Star Dust HD and Wipeout HD. 3D gaming is going to blow your mind.
Coming onto less than 1% of tv's worldwide.
. who will buy a 3D TV without software? someone must push new tech.. SAMSUNG,LG and other TV manufactures cant , because they havent entertainment division what so ever.. so the remaining TV giant is SONY ..
Just like DVD's when they launched.
Do you even care that much about being part of some big % , or are you just trolling ?
when ps3 came out....look at it now...so yea of no faith begone
well if you want the tech to catch on, you have to have available products for it. And it's not like it's mandatory
Agree? Honestly...I just wanted to tell you that Salad Fingers rocks!
hands on with no video is not a hands on should be called description!!!!!!! no one cares about the person in the video opinion, we want to see it in action to form our own opinion
We were not allowed to take video unfortunately.
I don't understand all the hate. So what if your TV isn't 3D, buy one or shut up. I have a 3D set and look forward to gaming and watching blu-rays in 3D.
I suppose you have a set which requires special glasses for the 3D? I've heard that the 3D is cool, but after 20 minutes people ask if you can just turn it off. I haven't seen 3D in action, so my opinion is incomplete, but in my view the visual industry is just grabbing for something new to sell. They've already spread HDTV with great color and resolution higher than the eye can perceive (from a normal viewing distance) through the market, and so there is really nothing else to do, except this 3D stuff.
People like buying shit they don't really need. Oh and 2560*1600 rapes 1920*1080 ;)
So long as your within a couple feet of the screen and have good eyesight (which probably wont last long considering how close your sitting to the television). http://s3.carltonbale.com/r...
i think 2560 * 1600 classifies as "shit you don't need"
Don't hate a company for moving forward. (Inb4 Toyota jokes) It's great to have the option. :)
Let's not forget those same types of people 5 years ago that were saying why have HDMI when nobody had a TV with that or why have Blu-ray movies when there were no Blu-ray players. The only thing that really fails is these same types of people that come out at the beginning of any new technology and keep saying the same thing.
Leave 360 fanboys out of this! :)
HDMI and Blu ray are two very different things from 3D. The fact remains that their is no content available, most tv still isn't in HD and my favorite, 3D content does not make a game or movie better. It won't bring a mediocre experience and make it an awesome one, it didn't do it for RE5 it's not going to do it for anything else. Gameplay, gameplay, gameplay is what makes a game great, having a game in 3D will not change that. It won't improve it, it won't make the characters better, it won't improve the story and it certinaly will not make the game look better or run better on the consoles. List some real advantages, it's also interesting to note that all the games listed that were played in 3D don't really push the PS3 hardware (Super Stardust and Wipeout?).
I asked for some real valid reasons that 3d gaming is superior. I've tried it on RE5 and World of Warcraft on the PC, it didn't make either game better. I don't care for disagree's or agree's thats pretty irrelevant, what isn't irrelevant is how sad it is someone can disagree with someone on a forum or comments page and not even back it up. Pathetic.
would just be that 3d can make a game more immersive. not any better, just making you feel one step closer to being there. having a missle shot at you in an fps would be business as usual, but the missle flying past your head in 3d would be sweet
@ravenor i dont think RE5 would be a good stick to measure 3d by, because it wasn't designed with 3d in mind, but then shoehorned into the game at a later date. games like KZ3 will be developed with 3d at the beginning, so you'll have all the 3d visual "tricks" like bullets whizzing by your head and grenade shrapnel flying out of the screen, whereas RE5 is just like, whoo-hoo. . . RE5
So your going to dismiss every person that has actually PLAYED these games in 3D and said they are Awesome and great and really add to the games immersion, and then spew out your own opinion which is an uneducated one seeing as how you have never tried the games they tried? And we should listen to you why? Oh, because you ave played a couple 3D games on PC...lol...You sound like a fanboy Sony hater, but who knows.. maybe you just hate change. Yeah... ok... From my own experience, 3D in movies really adds to the experience and I cant wait to try it in my games. Bring it on Sony.
Well am buying a 3d tv in about a months time at the moment there is only smasung 3d tv in the uk so am just waiting for more brands to show up with 3d tv so i can make my choice what one to get and i agree with bligmerk
I have a home theater projector setup that does 1080p and I can't imagine going back to regular TV's. For the past year, any projector that was capable of 1080p, 120hz was being marketed as "3D Ready". I have no idea if that still applies or not. The way it's sounding is that only the new TV's are capable of 3D. I have yet to figure out if all those "3D Ready" projectors are actually going to support the new 3D.
They might be able to answer your questions on Blu-ray.com. I'd avoid AVS for anything related to Blu-ray as you can't trust their information. There are so many trolls given a blind eye by the mods when it comes to Blu-ray in particular.
Kinda afraid the get a 3D tv right now.. will probably wait till 2nd generation of 3d tvs come out.
It does not catch on to the extent that they do only 3d versions, gulp, as i can't see 3d, my eyes can't see it i'll be gutted.
Is not necessary, like Blu ray /s.
