Here a some more newly leaked images of Resident Evil 5 which is due out sometime around 2009. This was confirmed by the developer in an interview with Famitsu. Continue to slideshow.
I think everyone, regardless of their favourite platform should be thankful that graphics like this and other games are what they are at now. I know graphics aren't everything, but jesus, they're certainly becoming something.
Couldn't agree more. Another example of both 360 AND PS3 abilities. 2009 though I'm a little bummed out. Oh well what can ya do.
i agree the graphics are something and from about half way theres the actual gameplay(possibly).
resident evil 4?
Yea, that threw me off too. I thought it was fake at first.
His huge arms almost makes his head look out of proportion in one of the early screenshots. Otherwise, it looks awesome. A little hard to believe this is ingame stuff without some high res screens.
Looking good. I wonder if the girl in the pics might be Sherry Birkin
Black Hawk Evil? Resident Evil Down? Black Evil Down? ......scratch that last one. Game looks nice though.
Man, this looks freakin' awesome! So excited about this game, I am. It's too bad this game won't come out until 2009. If anything, the same thing will happen to RE5 as to what happened to RE4: delays, delays, delays. I hope not; 2009 sounds good to me. :)
i'd say my only gripe is no wii-mote that game is way better with the wii-mote. [email protected] you under powered wii! [email protected] you.
RE4 was the first RE game I'd ever played n' since then I've been waiting for a sequel. It was one of the best games in the later years of the PS2, but with it not showing 'til '09 I can't even get excited about this game. That's ridiculous.
I hope by the time this game comes out the graphics are a little better. the games looks like it is going to be good. I thought the main character was carlos from RE3 since chris should look alittle older. I also believe that is Sherry also.
OMFG!!!! If it play like 4 with more enemies,Interactive enviroments and guns. It will be game of the year again.
RE 4 you killed latinos in RE5 you kill blacks way to go Capcom.
That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Are you one of those sissies that's ruining the world because you think everything needs to be politically correct? Do you think everyone needs to act overly sensitive? Didn't RE4 take place in a European village? Maybe the village had Spaniards in it. You make it sound like it took place in America, and the only people that were singled out were latinos. RE5 takes place in the desert, possibly in Africa. I'm pretty sure there are black people over there. Don't worry though, I'm sure you'll kill more than black zombies in the game. If you want a game that meets your ultra-sensitive needs, play Spiderman 3. Just about all of the gang members are white, which, even though it can be considered offensive to white people (which doesn't seem to matter these days), I guess it's politically correct. It may be P.C., but it's extremely UNrealistic. I blame that on people like you.
look identical to RE4, by the screen of the enemy holding up a axe. also i noticed a sscreen with like 20 enemies coming at you, shows the power of next gen over RE4 on PS2. looks great
uh the character animations? you got that from a still screenshot?
The lowdown as I posted in a previous story about the release date being pushed back: The game play will be similar to Resident Evil 4 but with a new "Tempature element" introduced ealier from Lost Planet but somewhat more intense. Instead of killing a foe and taking his "energy" to keep you going it will instead be finding water, shade, a moiste towelette, ect ect ect. Not only will this gradually effect your health but it will hinder your abilities to function e.i. accuracy is poor, running goes to jogging, ect ect ect. Unsure about the status of these victims, whether they're Virus or Plagas subjects but what is known as some will be somewhat "shufflers" others medium speed similar to RE4, then there will be the "runners" who will haul dodge towards you. The general idea I feel is that their changing the element of fear to more psycological break down, soooo much to worry about in such a wide open unfamiliar enviroment. You can make your own judgements but this is what is whats been said in As for the main character I can't say for sure but I'd speculate that that would be Chris, the girl is completley new I haven't seen anything about her before. THIS IS IN THE MIDDLE EAST, NOT AFRICA.
The cause of the release pushback is for the desired simo-release on both major platforms; the E3 video is shown via 360 graphics. It's going to take atleast a year to port the codes for the cellprocessor on the ps3 which will look omg so yummy.
sigh I can't even remember the last game of RE I played, but it was like 8 years ago. So probably 2 or 3, anyways I am sad their doing this to the game. I liked the smaller closed corridor where anything could pop out of a window or a door, or things came running at you on the ceiling, it was scary. I guess I shouldn't jump to any conclusions but all we have seen is outside scenes though...but this looks amazing
Game looks good but Africa? Come on...I was hoping to return to a more advanced version of Raccoon City(RE#1)...I just hope that Capcom doesn't get sued by Africans because the way they are portraying the African people (i.e.Resistance and Church thing). Well can't wait till 2009...Uh? I guess!
If the game takes place in a black area, and the black people are acting that way because they were turned in zombies, then it doesn't portray them in a negative light. They are zombies after all. If it were all white zombies, no one would say anything. What a sad, overly-sensitive, politically correct world we live in. Pathetic.
This posted twice for some reason, didn't mean to.
Question, since I did not play my Gamecube late in it's life, after I abandoned it. Did they change the control configuration in RE4? The last one I [played was CODE VERONICA on the Dreamcast], and I always hated how clumsy the character moved. Turning around with LEFT/RIGHT then pressing UP to go forward, just couldn't stand it. I much rather Syphon Filter(loved that game 1/2) type configuration. Anyhow it won't be a while we see this. I think FFXIII will keep people busy by the time this comes out early 2009.
The character moves the same way, but the new camera angle makes it a lot more bearable. The aiming also changes how the game feels since it's not point straight, up, or down anymore.
Considering this title isn't coming out until 2009, I hope they slow down on the "hype":) I'm already looking forward to the game, but 2009? Ugh, lonnnnng wait.
That gt tv would work on my wii so I could watch this video, maybe its time to get a computer. Anyhow, I know this game will impress , I will wait patiently until 2009. Look at it this way, we will all be flooded with great games until this one comes out anyways. I'm already having a hard time figuring out where I'm gonna find the time to play the ones that are coming out this august through next year! Starting with Lair and bioshock, from there on its going to be gaming bliss.
it looks gerat but the resident evil 4 smart zombies were kool but just for one game i would like if they made then look like the scary T virus zombies and for them to be smart that would make the game very kool and scary . the way the look right now there not rilly scary at all
looks great.. RE5... 2009 though ..hmph
I loved Resident Evil 4, so i`m glad they`re keeping the the same aiming-system too, while changing the setting a bit. Didn`t think i would end up in Africa for Resident Evil 5, so that should be interesting, and the exorcism (if that`s what happening to the guy with stuff coming out of he`s eyes) could be creepy. xbox360rocks, yeah i think it would be cool if they made it a bit more scary that Resident Evil 4 (not sure they need just corridors to do so, although that could help too), which was my only complaint with the game. It was more action, than a scary horror-game.
