Engadget.com reports:

Yet again, we're faced with another recall on potentially defective laptop batteries, and yet again, these cells in question could catch fire when you least expect it. The latest round of recalls by Toshiba allows for some 10,000 Sony-made batteries to be replaced after a trio of fire incidents over the past ten months got its attention.

I would suggest flamin Energizers.....

;) just for fun. and yes..this has ZERO to do with the PS3 for the record....fanboy safe....I think.

ArduousAndy3749d ago

nah dlacy13g I like you I really do but come on. Burnacell is ALOT better cause i made it up :)

BenzMoney3749d ago (Edited 3749d ago )

I vote Burnacell (lmao!!)

All in favour of Burnacell, hit agree.

All in favour of Flamin' Energizer, hit disagree.

EDIT:

Bubble for Andy for that one, people at work are looking at me funny for laughing to myself. haha... way to go, make me look like a slacker.

Dlacy13g3749d ago (Edited 3749d ago )

I will concede...burnacell is nice. With that train of thought...burnacell or burstacell or torchacell? .....ehhh...I still like your burnacell.....Clearly I lack the creative gene. ;)

Burnacell for the win!

edit: Ok every time I think of this issue of a flaming battery and the act of powering up the laptop I am reminded of the Human Torch from the Fantastic Four and his phrase: "Flame On!"

This has nothing to do with the PS3 or Xbox 360 so lets not try and turn this into a flamewar.

I've never had a problem with my Sony battery on my laptop.

BenzMoney3749d ago

...deliberately left out of the console sections of this site for that exact reason.

I was laughing like crazy when I first read in Inquirer almost two years back about one of the D(H)ell Laptops blew somewhere in Japan. The picture was very funny.
