THQ announces plans to distribute its titles via Steam

It has been announced that THQ is the latest major publisher to jump aboard Valve's ever-growing Steam train, with the firm revealing that it will be making a number of its biggest videogaming assets available via the digital distribution service.

The titles already on sale include Relic's Company of Heroes, Lore's Titan Quest and Titan Quest: Immortal Throne, and Pandemic's Full Spectrum Warrior and Full Spectrum Warrior: Ten Hammers.

They are still selling them on hard copy, but it's always nice to go onto Steam and see more new games for downloading. I love downloading games that I don't have to use a disk for, and if you want a hard copy just back up the game to a disk. As long as you have a username on Steam you will never loose your games.

Nice to see that more 3rd party developers are distributing their games on Steam. I think that as the service is growing, more developers will see another oppertunity to make more profit.
