Ray from This Is My Joystick takes us through the beta steps of Halo Reach multiplayer and gives his impressions
i see all halo MP the same just new guns new maps and new skins...but at least they adding new modes
Take a read of this piece. Honestly, even though its familiar, its really not the same.
While the fundamentals have always been the same in Halo each iteration has always been a different game. Halo 2 was not Halo 1, Halo 3 was Not Halo 1 or 2, and Reach is not Halo 1, 2 or 3. There are alot of differences between all of the Halo games, Bungie does not rehash or reskin a full game from a previous iteration like Infinity Ward/Treyarch do.
But Killzone 3 is the new thing now :3 I kid, I kid.
I had tons of fun in the beta, more so than halo 3. I can't wait for the release of the final game. That was only the multiplayer portion of the game. Don't forgrt about the campaign, and I'm pretty sure they'll be bringing firefight back.
campaign is what im most anticipating...when i played invasion slayer, with spartans vs elites, it gave me a taste of what it would be like versing the elites and boy, ill tell you, i have a smile on my face thinking of finally getting a challenge with 4 player coop legendary legendary itself was always hard, but whenever i did it with my friends, which is how i prefer to play, it just became too easy because there was back up (unless i put on all most of the skulls) but now that there are health packs back and elite themselves are tougher, i cant wait also, i wonder what they are hiding, cause i think they did say that the weapons, AA and maps were only a small taste of what is to come...i wonder if there really are more AA's that those 5 that were shown (although i cant think of any possible ones from previous equipement, maybe something to completely cloak you from the radar without having to crouch) and firefight...its still up there in hoping its going to be in the final release
I have to say I loved it. I loved the way you can pick the type of people that you can play with and I loved the game modes too. I loved the loadouts and the graphics have been greatly improved. The only thing that will be left to see now is the single player mode.
I love VERY tactical games, like Flashpoint 2, GRAW etc, doesn't mean I'm that blinkered where I can't enjoy games of other types. Soooo, all you 'see'? Not played it obviously. Well it LOOKS like Halo, and it does play like Halo, but there is a far greater tactical element than what's been seen in previous Halo titles. That doesn't make it 'Ultra realistic shooter 6' like the word tactics seems to imply to you. Tactics = tactics, not 'realistic'. To be honest, I'm not sure why I keep coming back to waste my replies on someone who's offering an opinion on something they've clearly not played. Seriously, no problem with people debating with intelligent argument, but when arguments are as blind-sided the above, they lose all credibility...
