"New mascot throws out first pitch at baseball game."
He certainly is no Kevin Butler. Where's the personality in a mask like that?
But MS tried, but don't know how to make it Solid and Funny. They tried in the Ads with the Lady (like always, MS need to hire someone famous), like 10 Ads with that lady. http://www.youtube.com/watc... But they Failed. Not successful. Now with that dude, another fail.
Those ads not only failed, they gave me the creeps. Nothing against Sue Sylvester, she's not a bad actress by any stretch of the imagination but something about these ads just seemed....off. I hope you twitter better than you drive? Who the hell were these ads targeted towards anyway? What were they thinking?
@lowcarb bellow, Yes kids tend to love mascots, but this one doesn't even have a face.
Hmmmm... So this is what Microsoft spends their millions on. Have fun kids jump in lol
he looks like a dickhead.lol
That's the worst mascot ever. Ever.
I'm really not sure how to respond to this. That's really lame.
I hear ya. While I'm embarrassed as a gamer that companies are pulling these tasteless stunts, I'm sure the 360 fanboys are feeling worse.
.......what in the hell...
How this mascot creation played out: "Right... we need a mascot." "Err... we have this XBox Logo thing..." "Make a mask out of it, stick it on some guy's head." "Let's finish early after a good day's work."
har har har
Now if the balls were red and they were coming towards him......
Bubble up !
Microsoft doesn't really need a mascot, they offer something's the other companies don't have and that is great online and voice chat. Also a ton of exclusives. I guess they could have gotten some failed Hollywood actor to be "funny" and appeal to the Americans but since Xbox 360 is an American item it does that on it's own. 25 million in the States says a lot.
being outsold by the ps2 in Japan says alot too. Did i mention being outsold by the ps3 in europe despite launching 18 months after? That says alot. That says a hell of a lot lol
nevermind i was going 2respond to mrCrap but why when he has only one bubble
tons of exclusives? really? lmao i'd ask you but again only one bubble, lmao.
really?...a "ton" of exclusives.. really?... ..... ummm... back to u olly olly: Its rainin! thanx olly
humm, I guess you haven't heard about the video chat on the PS3 then. I wouldn't rave about voice chat being to top feature on a console seems pretty lame to me. My PC has had that feature since 1998 but hey who's counting the years eh?
It also says a lot that in WW sales, the Ps3 has been selling more for over 6 months...
Microsoft's 360 mascot is a logo? FAIL
It'll have a 360 inch tail [email protected]!!
Cheif better watch out!
360 dude date mr. met
mjemirzian @ 2010.05.22, 5:21 I imported a Japanese 360 just to play Cave games.
lol...Is Microsoft serious?
Well, the word "XBOX" in of itself is uninspiring. When you break it down you've got: X = Duuuude it's Xtreeeeme! /chugs green Mountain Dew and BOX = *plop* a box ..so, trying to mix and match these two ideas is a challenge for any marketing department and I sympathize with the staff that came up with the ball-on-the-head-with-an-X-dud e. Maybe they were trying to break out of the box image or something.
wii sounds crappy too and sells millions
Is to call this thing san roku maru which means 3,6 and circle (used for zero) which also means "correct". But there's this big X in the front, left to interpretation because it looks more like a cross than a letter and the cross in japan is the batsu (or peke) sign for "wrong",and which also means "impossibility", "futility", "uselessness". The message is all messed up for those who are not familiar with the Xbox 360.
I've read somewhere that this guy has been around for sometime in Japan. http://www.andriasang.com/e... sigh...I don't know what to think of this. It screams desperation.
