A couple of weeks ago Electronic Arts revealed Onslaught, an all-new four player co-op mode for the excellent Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Featuring four brand new multilpayer maps – Valparaiso, Atacama Desert, Isla Inocentes, and Nelson Bay.
too bad you have to pay for it...
VIP members get it for free, don't they? :) Glad I bought the game new, Yeessssssss! *highfive* :P
so your gonna have to pay for it
the game is so geared for co-op since the 1st but yet there's none in the 2nd! so, it's a DLC plan afterall huh?
Time to play it again when it comes out!
... When can I download it!?!? :D
It's a bad idea to split the online community.
That is why I believe all DLC should be given to everybody for free.
these people have mortgages to pay. you can expect them to work for free.. but, being so soon after release, i'm sure most things could've been put on the disc and included in the game
Well it is up to EA to reach into the money brought in by the initial sales to pay the developers. There is plenty to spare.
At least its not not an ironically named "Stimulus package" of some sort.
Wrong use of irony.
no its not. (Typo with my double 'not' in my orig. comment, though)

I was being ironic about it. lol
The lag and disconnect issues was getting a little excessive...
think you need a new isp or sort out your net. anyway BFBC2 continues to update itself unlike some other shooters...
Bad Company 2 is easily the most non-problematic online console games out there.
The first week was problematic, but once they got the server issues ironed out, it became a great online experience.
That does get annoying. I know its not my connection, because I'm usually on my mic, and I ask other people if they're experiencing the same lag, and they usually report the same. I'm on the PS3 by the way. Its probably just some simple clean up code DICE/EA needs to fix....I just hope they do it soon.
DICE is usually pretty quick (a lot quicker than most devs) to get server issues sorted out. They keep you fully updated on what's going on too, via their Twitter, website and the the news ticker ingame.
I forget how well the AI was in BF2. I hope they can pull it off well enough so it doesn't become boring, nor too excessively *I shot him with a sub machine gun from the island in one hit!*. If the single player experience of BC2 is anything to go by, I hope DICE can pull something better off for Onslaught.
not free... I will keep playing RDR....its getting FREE CoOP
All DLC should turn free after certain amount of time ESPECIALLY map packs. I liked the halo formula on XBL first pay then when they release more the old become free/standard and new are pay etc. Splitting the community is never any fun the ppl who bought the maps cant enjoy them because if they have friends who didnt they cant play and vice versa.
4 brand new maps ? wtf stupid cunts haha
i love battlefield thank you dice
But charging for stuff that should have been in the Game from the get go.I don't support that at all and i don't care who the dev is.If you disagree let me know why? its our money that they (devs/Publishers) are trying to milk out of us the gamers and im sick of this crap.
....but I got rid of BF:BC2 a couple months ago, because the online was crap, and there's no standard DM mode so I can play sniper matches against my friends, like every other FPS allows.
BC2 online is the best. You just didn't like it.
Not strange that some segments of the players around the world are noticing lag, when alot of players are using 0,5 to 2,0 mbit/s lines which is so out of date 2010. 10 mbit/s shouls be the lowest possible that players would be aloud to play with these days. The technology has gone so far and in some countries a majority of the gamers are still using shity lines whining about lag. Anything below 10 mbit/s is made for old folks paying thier bills and not gamers.
