AMD drops cash for Boys and Girls Club

Quinton Healy has three kids and is always looking for new ways to get them more involved with things other than the TV. For many parents, it is not possible to monitor their kids all the time due to work. For many, they rely on community outreach programs such as “Boys and Girls Club”. Boys and Girls Club tries to provide a great place for kids to go when they are not in school and no one is home. They provide tutors, games, arts & crafts, and organized activities all lead by highly trained volunteers and staff. In 2000, Boys and Girls Club started a new program called “Club Tech” funded by a huge $100 million donation from Microsoft. The goal of Club Tech is to foster interest in technology and assist with learning the skills for the technical world
