IGN: NBA Jam: Mega Info-Dump

IGN writes: "The more we see of NBA Jam the more we're convinced this reinvention of the game that made $1 billion dollars in arcades in 1993 is in safe hands. Not only has the team at EA hooked up with the series' original creator Mark Turmell to ensure they get the core experience right, but there's a whole lot more going on with this game than you might expect, with a wealth of content that encompasses unlockable players, cheats and two full campaign modes: Classic, where you play all 30 NBA teams (with three current stars per team) as well as taking on 2 on 2 boss battles against NBA legends such as Magic Johnson and Larry Bird; and the Remix Tour, which is double the length and promises to really shake the formula up – think boss battles against more than just legendary players, drastic changes to rules and modes, that kind of thing."

The story is too old to be commented.

yes i will get the game but not if EA think i will buy it for my wii then all of a sudden its going on 360/ps3 with 720p/1080p support u can f off plus where is online its a crime to make such a game without online play how stupid they say not made mind up yet EA think they can do a game on wii then bring it to 360 ect with little bump in graphics when they could have just gave the wii version a bump in graphics i mean EA do a game like skate it then announce skate 2 for 360 ect why not skate 2 for wii/360/ps3 games last gen were graphically better than skate whats wrong with EA they want to always tone graphics on wii games so that they can give 360 owners graphics that the wii could have done it makes me sick i mean why even think of bringing it to other consoles when u have 75 million wii owners and i think there are at least 10 million peoplethat would buy the game so why not up the budget for superior visuals that the wii can do make the online major robust and basically turn the production values right up and make the game impossible for people not to own do wiispeak support for when u finish matches ect a bit of trash talk after the match ect just spend another 10 million on the game it will make the money back all day long

No offense, but...you're ruining the moment. >.>

NBA Jam was the only sports-based game I actually liked, so I cannot wait for this game. The fact that Mark Turmell is there, keeping these guys from taking the Jam spirit out of this game...makes me happy. Hearing about the effort they're putting into for the gameplay, the unlockables...everything sounds incredible. I can't wait.

This game looks like so much fun. I love "arcade games", simulations can get a little too much (a little too deep). Sometimes i just wanna pick up and play and try to beat the high score!

Bring back the arcade i say. Best times ever.

Though, I'll tell you right now: Online is a neccessity for this game. Make it happen.
