Information released by Parallels shows PC owners feel anxious, concerned and intimidated over upgrading to Windows 7.
I upgraded to Ubuntu 10.04, I was on Vista so anything with a UI is better. I want to try out 7 but I don't want to spend the money. It's worth a try, it's really easy just to try, plus you can dual boot. It's worth a try anyway. I remember the first time I tried it... hated, the second time I hated it still. And now I run pure ubuntu because the touchpad is great, it looks good and it does everything I want. Try it via UBS/DVD live boot... for free. It takes about 15 minutes tops.
I've been thinking about putting Ubuntu on my old laptop but I haven't decided yet.
A upgrade is far too much. Maybe if the price drops I will get Win 7
