Stephane Woods bets on his first love by starting video game studio
"This could be a very good time to create a small-scale studio to work or iPhone- or Facebook-style games. It's probably not a very good time to develop a $100-million competitor to World of Warcraft."
Woods knows social media or mobile devices could be an easier way to get established in the industry, but he's not interested in going down that avenue, at least for the moment.
"I really like the big games," he said. "You can't develop any big games for the iPhone, the iPad or Facebook.
Woods says he's convinced the time is ripe for the games he's developing - strong on story and character development.
