Jordan Lund reviews the iPad version of Mirror's Edge.
Excerpt: "The game maintains a fairly wide view as you can see in the high jump picture, but it does zoom in at the start of each level, when you attack one of the guards and if you pull off a particularly cool combination of moves. Combat is initiated very simply. You swipe in the direction of the guard when you’re close enough to permanently disable and disarm them. You can do a jumping or sliding attack which will take them down, but only temporarily. I have to admit, initially I thought the control scheme was a little goofy. Swiping to do this or that, but after a few minutes it became very natural and I now feel it isn’t any goofier than pressing the “A” button to jump in a traditional platform game."
