Influences for Red Dead Redemption detailed

Asked about influences for Red Dead Redemption's story, Dan Houser has answered : "Most of the films we used are not traditional Westerns who tend to have the outlaw and gunmen fighting against the arrival of the industrial age, a choice that seemed to us relevant to today's players."
Then he lists some movies with great classics such as 3:10 to Yuma or The Wild Bunch.

I was hoping it would have a lot of influence from the 3 greatest westerns, The good, the bad, the ugly, fistful of dollars and for a few dollars more, the man with no name was the greatest western character created.

call of juarez 2:bound in blood was a great western game, i think red dead is a-little influenced by it. cant wait for read dead! possible goty 2010!

....what are you talking about? It's "Once Upon a Time in the West"...Sergio Leone, not Robert Rodriguez. Just wanted to make sure that was clear.

In any case, Sergio Leone and Clint Eastwood's films had a large impact on Stephen King's Dark Tower series which are my favorite (7) book(s)

different guitar cases gives you different weapons

have a machine gun guitar case and a rocket launcher guitar case or walk around with a suitcase full of guns take two guns you like go into the fray run out of ammo run back to guitar case pick up more guns
