Videogameszone presents ten games that have the most beautiful and memorable view. GTA4, Fallout 3, Assassin's Creed and more after the link.
Assassin's Creed was just awesome to look at. Fallout 3 was ugly and desolate but that's what made it great.
Take Just Cause 2 view over any of these anyday EDIT @ disagrees http://www.curiousonion.com... CASE CLOSED
Just Cause 2 is good (water looks amazing), but not as good as Assassins Creed. Uncharted 2 had some good views also.
Just Cause 2 has size, but detail-wise it lacks compared to others.
Oblivion. That was like, the gold standard. The views in that game are spectacular and all the more so because they are all places you can physically get to. Not just painted on scenery. Take your pick of vantage points. It's amazing from every angle.
Ass Creed 2 was so memorable near the end i was basically mind f*cked. "2012 WTF?!" then i went to sleep confused.
Shadow of the Colossus....unprecedented beauty
True need PS3 one NOW
We got Last Guardian coming soon... or not soon enough.
UC2 at the top of the hotel level.
That was very beautiful indeed. I must have just turned the camera round and round there lol.
UC1 at the top of the waterfall above the nazi submarine. That was the first time I was truely amazed and blown away by the graphics this gen.
Playing Uncharted for the first time right now, and yeah, I spent a good 5 mins running around that area checking out the scenery.
I was truly amazed by the graphics in that scene. That scene grapics is better than 97% of games on the market
That one really sticks in my mind as well. Another one that really impressed me recently was the Kasumi DLC on Mass Effect 2. There was an impressive view when standing on the balcony of the penthouse overlooking a Futuristic City.
with the chopper.. -_-;; also FF7 i killed my healer, and she was 5 level higher than everyone else. -_-;;
Couldn't agree more.
Oblivion; when the game started off in the dungeons below and after about 20 you finally got saw that little bit of light at the end of the tunnel... walk towards it... loading screen.... BAM !!! OMG... Is this for real ? Trees, grass, mountains as far as the eye can see. turn around and there is this castle... that was epic !! GTA, during the evenings as the sun sets out on one of the beaches. One area I think a lot of people overlooked was how good the lighting was and also the water effects. the way you could see everything reflect of the water and the motion of the waves. AC I was very impressed visually, but AC, while it was the better game by far, visually it seem to lack just that little extra bit. Just Cause... fly up hi and Jump, nuff said ! Also Mass Effect; some of the planets had wonderful vistas.
How about Dante's Inferno? the entrance to The City of Dis. That view blew my mind :D
No Crysis? How about as you jumped out of the plane and you could see the entire freakin isdland? That's my vote.
I preferred the start of the 'Assault' mission myself. Watching exploding planes fly over head, then getting to the overlook to see the harbor down below, that was pretty breathtaking.
Very very true. There are a lot of moments in the game that are just amazing.
Halo: CE when you land after escaping the Pillar of autumn
Actaully I agree. Back then, that was AMAZING. It's a shame what Halo became after that title. The first one felt like exploring, the others just felt like an action game retreading ground.
God of war 3 when the Titan was.... Nah, you're right, twas walking into Aphrodite's chamber Edit: forgot to say "Boom". How foolish of me.
Lol when I saw the article I immediately thought they'd be remiss not to throw some T&A in there somewhere.
Where's inFamous? After you defeat a certain boss and a certain person betrays you, you end up on a huge building. Great view.
I prefered the original just cause view to the new one. Uncharted shoulda been on there.
Shadow of the Colossus..?! infamous?
Metal Gear Solid 4 had Amazing views and Uncharted 2 the part where you can roam the village is amazing and a lot of MGS4 parts are amazing aswell. inFAMOUS has amazing parts especially when you go really high up in one of the missions.
Totally agree with Shadow of the Colossus,I was literally speechless the whole game.
You and me both
