NowGamer: Cliff Bleszinski has revealed in a Gamasutra interview that Gears of War 3 will feature light RPG elements influenced by Bioshock, Mass Effect 2 and Borderlands.
That actually sounds awesome, just consider my hype level raised a bit
first the dedicated servers rumor, and now this
If it true then am SOLD!!!!!!!
Truth be told, I never gave a sh*t how games were made until I played Gears. And I've been gaming since I was 7. The stuff that goes on in Gears, had me wondering "How the hell are they doing that?"...
...How are they doing what exactly? Are you talking about graphics?
Graphics? Hmmm, maybe. Why? Are you getting ready to troll, lol?!?!?! Yeah...I've spotted a troll.
It couldn't possibly be the graphics, lol That's why I just wondered.
ShinGino = Fail
I think Double Toasted might be referring to interactive environments, like set-pieces. And you are being a troll. Gears 2 is probably in the top 10 list for greatest visuals for console games this gen.
Two dimentional flames are the best! And low res textures that trick your eyes like an optical illusion to think they're sharp but proven otherwise upon closer inspection. It was great when GeoW1 came out. But it is pretty outdated nowadays.
I'm a sucker for RPG elements in games.
Want to see customizable weapons. That would be pimp.
Something along the lines of the Ratchet & Clank RPG elements and customizability would be nice. Maybe a tad less. Depends on whether Epic wants to focus on the guns a lot or not.
good to see them moving forward and not sticking to the same formula
Old lady: "Hey Marcus, if you cut down all the weed in my yard i will reward you a with a new extended item pouch!" Marcus: "Hell yeah, RPG elements FTW!!!" :)
I think of Mass Effects when I think of GeoW with RPG elements.
Yeah, Mass Effect 2 was more shooter, less RPG. I see what you're getting at.
This is definitely going to be much better than gears 1 and 2.
That sounds awesome to me. I welcome RPG elements in any game.
When you reach to fork in the road you get to pick which route you want to go in.
