The inner workings of the PlayStation Move

The PlayStation blog have quietly been publishing neat developer diaries featuring Sony's small magical black wand, the PlayStation Move. It goes without saying, Sony's new marketing approach and branding of the PlayStation 3 has radically changed, gone is the creepy crying baby in the white room -- replaced with the hilarious Kevin Butler. Sony's classic practices of keeping things tight lipped and tucked away in their secret room of tricks, seems to be absent and shunned away by a more inviting (almost eager) approach towards the gaming community and industry.

Waiting the Survival Horror for Move.

What is that:

The EXTension Port?

cody2oo2864d ago

I believe it is the USB port to charge the device.

Pandamobile2864d ago

Looks like USB for power and a connector for a nunchuck attachment like the Wii.

Apocalypse Shadow2864d ago

the usb plug is normal.that other EXT port looks like's a just in case port for added features i would believe.

Mystery interface
The bottom of the PlayStation Move controller features two ports. The larger of the two is simply a mini-USB plug that can be used for charging. The smaller port, titled "EXT", remains a mystery. We're speculating that it will be used for controller accessories.

The Subcontroller (Navigator) has one port on the bottom, a mini-USB port for charging.

...and his response was something like "I can't talk about that yet." That makes me think they have something specific planned. Hopefully they'll reveal it at E3.

It could be so that you can connect the sub controller to the Move controller and charge them both at the same time so you dont use up more then one usb slot...?
