In LittleBigPlanet 2 the player is going to have the ability to not only create levels but create games.
...and yet people will still complain about the tiniest thing like "the jumping physics are a bit weird".
Luckily this time around jumping wont be the only main mechanic since you can make basically any time of game you want. It looks like theyll have to find something else to complain about.
And sony Lied about 4d. def 7/10
Physics are an important gameplay mechanic. It's not a "tiny thing" as you claim. Secondly, games have levels. So, with LBP2 the player may still have to create levels in order to construct a full game.
Little big planet is known for it's amazing physics tho.
Apart from the slight jump delay I agree.
LBP1 is more of a "Make Your Own Platformer" that some of its more talented users managed to make other types of games with, where as LBP2 promises to be so user friendly that anyone will be able to make games.
Do you even have a clue as the amount of investment needed for even the most basic game creators... like Kudo... they may seem like a simple creator, but if you don't have the dedication you're going to just flounder around like a moron trying to make an RPG
They said that you're going to be able to edit the jumping height / gravity etc. So no need to worry about that..
You can create games in the first one by linking the levels together, but I think LBP2 will allow for better games that are better connected.
I am guilty as a LBP launch buyer, having not made a level yet. I can tell you now, I am sure as hell making a breakout game when this comes out.
Man, pretty much all I did with LBP was make levels and download other levels. I never made it through the story mode. Playing with the level designer is still something I love to do in my downtime, even though my levels are terrible. Mostly little Sackboy death traps.
Do you realise that the more you play the main story the more things you will have to create with.
I never made whole levels (these guys must have so much time on their hands, as well as being alot more creative than me) but I used to love making machines and contraptions. A few examples are A tank, that drove back and forth, could shoot exploding canonballs from and adjustable turrent and roll out bowling ball type mines. An F14 Tomcat, it would speed down the runway and then you had to clear the brickwall at takeoff. A spaceshuttle, complete withelevator and launch tower, you would travel up, jump in the pilots seat and shoot up into space. Just a couple ideas that sucked alot of hours from me. Cant wait for part 2 to make a top down racer.
Can't wait to give it a try.
do you realize the things you can do with this game?! im not sure people are grasping the things you can achieve. goty 2010.
maybe they are grasping. Create your own games. What is their not to grasp? The possibilities could be endless.
10 bucks says 90 percent of people wont be able to even remotely grasp a fraction of the ability of the "game"... just look at something as simple as Kodu(kudo? bah)
I didn't like the first one but the sequel sounds crazy. This is a must buy for me. I'm going to put my creative energies to work and see what kind of genre-bending game I can come up with.
I have a very low patience, I hate art, I hate drawing, etc etc, I never even made a level in LBP I only played them and I was happy. But from what I have been hearing from LBP2, I can not wait to finally try!
yeah me too Never Never made a level :) but im still getting LBP2 ... modnations was Easy to create trust me , i was in beta... made some Sick tracks lol :)
i had intentions to make more, but i didn't have the time. i ended up trading in LBP in a bout of desperation (i REALLY wanted God of War 3 for me, and Dragon Age: Awakening for my wife, but didn't have the money, so a lot of my favorite games, LBP included, got traded in), but i really can't wait for part 2. i'd love to make an RPG of some sort, or this action game that i've been kicking around for a while. it's actually a 2D action game with swords and guns. i wonder if i could pull that off in LBP2. probably. i can't wait for this fall, that's for sure.
Creating levels isn't going to be easy for the less creative in this game either. You really have to have drive and ambition to get it done well. My first few levels were terrible, I had no skill what so ever. But because of the ambitions, the drive ended up developing the skill. The same will be for most of you guys, you just gotta get through those first few herdles. And when you do I'll be there to play your levels.
must admit, even though i never played the first one, i'm pretty excited about this game. i think it's cuz the trailer is just so darn cute.
I'm so going to buy this.
