Ratchet and Clank Future Hands-on : "Fun. 'Nuff said."

Insomniac's Brian Allgeier was at Sony's post-conference gameplay party today, showing off the very first level of Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. As a longtime fan of the series, I'm happy to report that it plays just as other Ratchet games have -- with similar physics and mechanics -- meaning that veteran Lombax users should be able to jump right in and go. If that's all the affirmation you need before signing on, then congratulations, you're good to go.

If you're the type that needs a little more convincing, however, then here's some background info...

The story is too old to be commented.

The same gameplay gets kind of old though IMHO...I lost interest in platformers years ago.

Hopefully this game will be as good, if not better than, its predecessors.

This game is going to blow away everyone who has ever enjoyed the Rachet and Clank series, and then some.

I can't wait to waste hours of my time collecting meaningless items, blasting guys away with exaggerated weapons, and listening to the hilarious story unfold. Good times, goods times.

This is looking like it'll be the first great next gen platformer. I'm normally not big into platformers but I do like Ratchet and the Jak & Dexter series... awesome games. And this one looks like it's sure to please as well.

I passed out bubbles. Share the love.
