First off, does Ratchet look this good? The answer is clear: yes. But, is that enough to make the upcoming PS3-exclusive Ratchet & Clank Future worthwhile? Not necessarily.
wait....did that just say MULTIPLAYER IS GONE!!! oh this better be wrong or im going to be one umhappy customer!! graphics look great otherwise. go isominac MAKE MULTIPLAYER!!
They announced there would be no multiplayer support quite some time ago.
There has never been any multi player.
Its ok to be dissapointed that the series feels too similar to other installments but to call it a bad game because of it? Thats just plain stupid.
"Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction is looking to be another top-notch entry in the series, and we're keen to grab some more playtime with the game to find out what other new additions the team at Insomniac has in store. The game is slated for release in Q4 this year." http://www.gamespot.com/ps3... There has never been any multi player.
Really amazing. But this article goes to show you that beautiful visuals aren't enough...the industry needs more innovative gameplay (see EchoChrome).
Haha, the Gamespot article certainly shows a little money can go a long way... That's not too fair either, but we all know the press is easily compromised, game journalism especially. We all know about the loot bags, comp'd vacations, etc. And while we can't go around pointing our finger everytime a game review/preview gives biased press (the press is run by PEOPLE after all), you can in these cases tell who's being truly honest and who isn't. But seriously, Insomniac dropped the ball on this one, from the sounds of it. Graphics are all well and good, but I think this gen has been teaching us a lesson that graphics aren't everything. People are getting tired of a decidedly last gen experience with next-gen visuals, which we have seen a fair amount of since the start of this generation (EA games in particular), and are beginning to demand more from developers. No multiplayer is a big risk this generation, because games are expensive, multi-player = replay value and people need to see that they will get just that before dropping €60-€75 on another over-hyped game.
Especially your third part about graphics...they can't carry a weak game.
I am just wondering how you can pass judgement on a game when barely any of the gameplay features are unlocked. R&C has always been a progression game. The deeper you get the more tools are at your disposal. The game looks visually amazing but I myself am wondering what else new besides the groove atron is in store for us. I certainly am not foolish enough to pretend to judge which source is biased and which is being just an honest opinion. Anyone can sit here and throw around accusations like that all they want but to me that makes you look biased yourself. In the end the only opinion I care about is my own.
Advanced graphics and good 'ol ratchet and clank? I see no faults. If you are a ratchet fan, you will want to play this. They brought clank back. In the last game, it was all ratchet, while clank did intel.
I mean, this Guy act like Ratchet and Clank is a Hard Game, Its NEVER been that hard to Beat, or play a ratchet and clank game, it does provide a challenge, but mostly if die its because you genuinely, messed up, Don't know which is the Next platform to jump to, Or haven't learned the rythm to beat the bosses yet. And isn't this the first Level ! Give things a chance before Writing them off. Thats why I like IGN, Sometimes they will preview a game that you know is going to be crappy, and they will still say things like, well its just a preview, they have a lot of time to polish it up. This is going to be one you have to play for yourself, and know for yourself, whether your going to like it or not . Peace
