A writer from Myarcadeplanet.com details what he would do if he ran Microsoft.
What an arrogant little man who thinks he's qualified to run Microsoft. Most likely he could not even get into an Ivy Legue.
i will take $50billion and run away.
how big of a suitcase do you have?
EDIT: haha, a disagree??? Looks like I've made a fan
but I would not be so cold hearted like you
I would take $49 billion
both of you crak me up
I'd counter Little Big People. Ask a developer to create something similar. Fast. They need some fresh IP's to compete with Sony. Just throwing out fps's, racing games, and other games built after well-known-to-work concepts just won't cut it long term. Even if they release solid titles it gets boring.
TAKE US TO UNIMAGINABLE SUCCESS, THE SKY IS THE LIMIT lol
I would actually screen out stuff that wasn't really news.
and bubble for you!
he'd run it to the ground.
if I ran Microsoft for a day, my body would be malfunctioning and my brain riddled with exotic viruses.
If I ran Apple, I would lose all my bloody rights. I would be in house arrest.
If I ran Open Source, I would be open all kinds of changes including the unnecessary and unwanted ones.
I would take an extended lunch make a trip to the bank and drain their account.
damn what kind of lunch would drain MS? Whatever it is, after eating it you would be rolling around the world causing widespread chaos like in Beautiful Katamari
1. I LIKE paying for the Live service. The idea that $50 a year is some kind of big drain for users is a ridiculous argument in the first place. Users buy $50 worth of games without thinking of it, but when you ask people (crybabies) to spend $50 on the ultra-pleasant experience of Xbox live, and then they cry this big river of salty tears. I like paying for a reliable, centralized system that makes matching up with other players easy and fun.
Further more, I think Microsoft should INCREASE the cost of Live and drop the cost of the console. I already own 1 360, but I’d love to buy a couple more for the other HDTV’s in my house. I already have one Live account that I can move across these devices with my memory card (something you cannot do on the PSN, as I understand).
I want a $199 core package by Christmas to further weaken Sony, who has made complete and total a$sholes out of themselves since day 1 in regards to the PS3. Arrogant, condescending, jackwads. I will not buy a PS3, no matter what, due to the way they have treated customers and consumers ex:
1. “Rumble is last gen!” When the reality is the arrogant assclowns wouldn’t pay the legal settlement to include rumble in their controllers. Once they get the legal mess worked out, Surprise, RUMBLE IS NEXT GEN!
2. “Software emulation is inferior to our hardware solution.” They made a huge deal about how the 360 used software emulation to achieve backwards compatibility and were general douchbags about it. Then, once they realize that hardware integration is neither viable nor cost effective, then BOOM, “Software emulation is the roxorz.”
So, this is why I’m a Microsoft fanboy. I want Microsoft to teach Sony a lesson about being condescending pricks to consumers and treating us all like 4 years olds who just want their product SO bad we’ll buy whatever $hit they feed us.
2. The writer of the article is so damn smart, he thinks he can fix whatever the problem is with the 360 in one day, damn we should hire this guy to develop hydrogen cars, or Mars-bound space travel. Moron.
i will give you agree+ bubble for Master Chief
I have to agree with you. Sony's attitude about the PS3 has completely turned me off of their brand. People complain about how 'slimy' Microsoft is. I'll take Peter Moore's enthusiasm over Jack Tretton's or Kaz Hirai's ridiculous statements any day.
Obviously, these would take more than a day.
--Get MGS4... Whatever the cost, get it on the xbox.
--Make IPTV a reality... If people getting digital cable had the choice between an xbox and whatever box their local cable company sends, then you're getting the console into a much broader market
--Drop the price of all skus... Make the core $50 less than the Wii, and the Elite $50 less than the lowest PS3 model
--Fund the Halo 3 movie... Get it to theaters, regardless of whether Hollywood studios want to make it or not. Anything that has Peter Jackson AND Halo on the ticket, will SELL.
I WOULD PUT A PLAYSTATION LOG ON IT
SO PEOPLE WONT HAVE 2 WORRY ABOUT THOSE
RED RING NO MORE
Give them back the refurbished crap they sent back to me.
Forum but I dont think no one needs to run Microsoft considering there already running themselves to the ground with terrible internet softwares and XBox 360 that cant even manage to live for one day and of course they mostly have way to much First person Shooters I mean yes the PS3 is getting one but so what not as much as the XBox 360 the PS3 actually concentrates on varieties of other games while the XBox 360 concentrates to much of First person Shooters.
Someone forgot to tell my Xbox that it wasn't supposed to live for more than a day! Shhhh! It might hear you...
ps3 has variety you say...xbox has first person shooters?
that is funny, all i hear sony fans raveing about is killzone and RFOM
variety is on 360, dont get me wrong i love ps3 too but how can you say viva pinata, VP party animals, dead rising, scene it, banjo, kameo, overlord, crackdown and all the rest isnt variety? 360 has lots of cute games for the kids and exclusives that arnt all shooters for the rest of us
is this really news?
UR AVARTAR IS SOOO UGLY...SORRY I COULDNT HOLD IT IN.
i would lower the price of the 360 so that would force sony to lower the price of the ps3;)
I would like them to bring down the cost a bit (it's $60 per year here in Canada); however, it's much, much better than what the PSN currently has to offer. Now, in the future, should Sony step up to the plate and provide a comparable, free online service with way more demos and content (instead of sh!tty advertising for Sony's films) then MS will have to rethink its strategy. At the moment I think you get what you pay for... and as I don't have time to play multiplayer games right now, I'm not payin' for it!
it should be paid for by advertisements
if you dont want your experience spoiled by advertisements you pay the 50 a year
the biggest problem ms has is the hardware failure rate and i wont pay 400 for a machine thats designed to break, until they come up with some answers i may just pass on the xbox this generation,
MS means more money
I'll keep it short...
I would show them how to balance their games division for maximum profits, by having the types of games people want to play on their console. I would have meetings with all the developers(in-house, second, and third party) to discuss different concepts, and different directions to take their titles or new IP's.
I would help them figure out their problems with the Zune, and find different ways to make people want one, and feel like their life isn't complete without one.
I would also help them come up with new ideas for other products, so that MS isn't just known as a software company, but also as a full fledged consumer electronics company, " With a reputation for quality" that people can buy with trust!
I would also help them redesign their current versions of the 360 and zune player to be more attractive to the eye and the mind, and to be more reliable.
Design is everything! People have to fall in love with something as soon as they see it in order to make money! This is why the iPod did so well. This is why the DS and Wii did so well. This is why Cadillac, Lexus, and every other luxury car does so well. People want a certain look and feel when they interact with something. The 360 has that... the zune somewhat has that. But it can be better! They don't need help with the Surface, cause it looks like they got that figured out already.
I can't help them with the Windows thing though, out of my league!
I know alot of you guys were joking, but i'm dead serious about this!
In order for live to be free, they will require more advertisers to jump on board. The more advertisers the better, because then it will become a hot place for them. If the ads draw alot of attention, then that draws more money to live, and then next thing you know, we get more free arcade games, then lower Live fees, until everything is almost free. I don't believe they will make "EVERYTHING" free, but close!
