30plusgamer Review: Pushy

Pushy is a pretty basic Xbox Live Indie Game that throws in a few puzzling elements. In Pushy, the player is put in charge of pushing boxes. Progress through the game by completing each level’s objectives, which typically require the player to be a pushy machine. And the objective changes from level to level. Boxes can only be moved in one direction (as you probably figured since the game isn’t called Pully). Sometimes its about picking up coins. Some boxes need to be broken. Some need to be moved to make it to the coins that need to be collected. Other times it’s about throwing boxes across the level and squishing enemies.

The Joystiq Indie Pitch: Retrofit: Overload

Being a giant, beloved video game site has its downsides. For example, Joystiq sometimes neglect to give independent developers their coverage love (or loverage, if you will) as the get caught up in AAA, AAAA or the rare quintuple-A titles. To remedy that, they're giving indies the chance to create their own loverage and sell you, the fans, on their studios and products. This week they talk with Will Storer of WAM! Games.

SFX-360: Retrofit: Overload Review

SFX-360 writes: "You just got to love the trend with all the retro-style games on Xbox Live Indie Games this year. Then again it's better than the trend of massage apps that plagued the platform last year. The release of Retrofit:Overload from Wam! Games brings back the love of a game that I enjoyed in the arcades during the 1980s. Not only that, but the game features a graphical style that is reminiscent of one of the most popular games on Xbox Live Arcade today."
