Find out how Super Mario Galaxy 2 stacks up to its predecessor.
I can't even begin to describe how incredibly hyped I am for this game.
This game is going to be awesome
I agree, I was lucky enough to check it out yesterday and it does look like another addition to Nintendo`s solid franchise.
Great. I can't wait for this game.
Seriously I can't wait to play this :D I hope that it has more levels and that it's a bit more challenging. It's gonna be awesome anyways ;)
Day One. That is all.
Shigeru Miyamoto is a genius.
He's in his own league. :)
I read a good article on him in GamesTM this month. Guy's been in the business such a long time now, it will be a sad day when he's not involved anymore.
What mouthbreather disagreed with Soda? The guy is singlehandedly responsible for most of the top selling video games of all time. Even if you hate wiifit or nintendogs I hope you can recognize his intelligence as a businessman for developing them.
The Wii in general will go down in history much like the NES. People will all talk in retrospect, how great a system was and how loved it was. But we'll know the truth behind it all. We'll know just how butt hurt the industry was that Wii became the best selling console of the gen (and perhaps ever)how thirds b!tched and moaned about their crap selling like crap. People should look into the archives and get the truth behind how the NES really was received back then. You begin to see so many similarities between that gen and this one that its not even funny. That's why all this feels like I've seen it unfold already. I find I love the Wii because the industry hates it. Because they thought, and continue to think that they can dictate the market. They can't. They don't WE do. Miyamoto understands this, which is why his games are constantly selling like gangbusters. He has his finger on the pulse of the consumer.
^ Truth. Miyamoto-san is a brilliant designer. And what is really amazing is the breadth and scope of his work. From something epic like Galaxy, to something casual like Wii Sports, to something thoughtful like Pikmin.
He's one of the few in video gaming who understands people. I remember gamers mocking him for saying he doesn't like DLC and prefers a physical copy so he feels like he owns it. Sometimes I want to take my games to my friend's house or play it if my console breaks in 15 years. I still have super baseball 2020 for SNES. What's hilarious is how bad these companies are at business. ME2 was amazing, my top RPG ever, but the carryover from ME was lackluster. Meanwhile they have DLC that you have to pay for with used copies to discourage resale. If they related that DLC to ME it would add 3 times the replay value. I would play ME over and over to make characters with different choices and import them. Then I'd beat ME2 with each. It would literally multiply the replay value of both games several times and make gamers repurchase or hold onto the original, keeping copies off the used market. They fucked up bad. It says a lot about gaming that even a top company like Bioware didn't fully understand this opportunity.
Who the hell is the phantom disagree - er?
Dunno I agreed with everyone. Can you disagree with me so I don't look like the odd one out :P
Hell yeah! I expect the haters to invade soon though.:(
Eh, let 'em. SMG has some of the most disgustingly good level design ever pressed to disc, and the sequel looks like it might even be better. If they choose to ignore it, it's their loss.
97% is great ..every gamer know that galaxy 2 is great ...
Day 1. :)
Awesome, i'm excited to see the engine tweaks that Nintendo has done to it, as well as the new soundtrack. The first game looked fantastic and featured an excellent soundtrack, i'm curious to see what they have in store this time around.
cant wait im more hyped for this then i was for the original Galaxy
So am I.
I bought my wii after not playing console games since n64/ps1 for punchout but picked up SMG on a whim. I played SMG first while waiting for a balance board and didn't get around to punchout for a month.
But I didn't think it quite surpassed M64. This one though, I feel will. I also believe it will be better than the first one. And the first one was a joy to play.
i loved galaxy 1, but i enjoyed SM64 more, Galaxy2 looks like it might give SM64 a run
This game may score even higher than its predecessor.
