DiRT 2 in the Works, PS3 DiRT demo imminent.

Sequel 'offers a more embellished experience', plus PS3 DiRT demo imminent.

Codemasters has let slip that Colin McRae DiRT 2 is already well into production and that the game will offer a greatly improved online mode. Speaking to IGN at E3, Matthew Horsman, DiRT's chief game designer, said that the team has been listening to comments from gamers about what they did and didn't like about the original game. "All the stuff people didn't like about the first DiRT will be changed for DiRT 2," he explained, and then promised that "DiRT 2's online mode will offer a much more embellished experience so everyone will be happy."

Demo should be good.

Edit: Ok, demo for ps3... can you read?

They've already made a demo so theres no real work needed to like you would need to create a brand new one.

Of course DiRT 2 is in the works lets just hope the physics engine isn't garbage in the sequel.

I've already played this game to death and moved on.. Owning one console certainly has it's disadvantages.

I still liked Motorstorm better because of the arcade style racing and physics. DiRT has more diversity to gameplay and it's a longer game but it feels too serious for me. Probably why I like Burnout more than games like GT or Forza 2.

FORDGTGUY: I do agree DiRT had some really bad physics. There was no drift or skid in that game at all. Nothing like hard stopping on dirt and coming to a stop like you are on pavement.

Hopefully they will implement the things that they couldn't get done in time for Dirt- real online multiplayer, better physics, snow rally stages, night races etc. I'll be keeping my eye on the next one for sure!

You know it's good to hear that game companies are finally starting to get it, if your game has a good buzz or looks like it might do good, then you need to start working on Part 2 as soon as possible in order for you to get part 2 out in a decent time.

Remember games take like 2 years to make so The sooner you start the better. -I'm still waiting for Gears of War 2

-and they haven't even started working on that game yet.
