Sony announces scrappage scheme

Money off new consumer electronics purchases for those willing to give up older tech.

Consumers could get up to £150 the asking price of a new Sony HDTV thanks to a brand new 'scrappage scheme' that has been announced by the tech giant and PlayStation platform holder.

The scheme begins tomorrow (April 29th) and will run until the last day of the World Cup Final on July 11th. Old tech handed in doesn't have to be Sony branded and will be accepted even if in a poor state of repair.

The story is too old to be commented.
