The PC version of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction is now available for download and play on Steam.
DRM, 5hours solo, no buy. I know I repeat myself, but who knows, maybe some guy from ubi might ever come see what gamers really think about it.
I seriously would have bought this game day 1 on the pc on steam.. I was planning on it. But with this drm crap and the constant internet connection required to play it.... Besides the fact that its 10 dollars more then the usual pc game.... no thanks.... ubisoft.. keep ur game... ill buy it when its 15 dollars on steam a year from now.
has said its a 5 hour game. When I played the single player on normal the game lasted 7 hours and 48 minutes. The coop campaign took about 5 hours. whatever, dont get the game if you dont want, but the 5hr single player is pure BS.
Ahahaha...I knew it. After Activision tried to pull their "$60" BS, it didn't take long before other publishers tried to push their luck. Sorry Ubisoft, you lose.
if it didn't have Ubisoft's draconian DRM.
Wasn't this supposed to be exclusive? lol I am getting this on pc for sure.
It's been PC/360 since the day it was announced.
It was a joke... since this game was announced its been treated like an exclusive by some people. I like my pc gaming and was disappointed when i heard that Alan would not on pc. I will play it on the 360 but i prefer playing in HD with as much fsaa or Ao to make it pretty :)
I wanted to buy this also, but not due to the DRM. One day when I buy a 360 I will get it then.
Rowsdower - you must not that good then i didnt die more that twice in the game on relistic mode and it took me about 7 hours to complete. co op was not that good and me and friends could not be botherd to finish it. online have not tryed and wouldnt want to.
its about not rushing through it, I will give an example: The carnival level. you could just concentrate on the objectives and finish the level in a couple of minutes or you could take your time and appreciate the level design. Explore the entire carnival, listen to the NPC's chattering away, maybe look at the rides, enjoy the world the devs created. same thing happened with GOW3, people were saying its only eight hours, but if you take your time to appreciate the details of the world then your play time grows. I dont just play to finish, I play to be taken off into the game world and enjoy it. So if your just gonna stick to the game objectives and rush through it like the game is due back tomorrow yes you will finish the game but you will not have truly played it. I think the coop is awesome with someone who communicates, in fact I hope they make another splinter cell that is has coop through out, if they had made the entire game coop and combined both campaigns then the game would easily be a 10 - 14 hour game.
This is no 5 hour game. Anyone saying its only 5 hours NEVR played it. That's the dead giveaway folks
I'll probably download this somewhere down the road.
hoops yes it is if you play normal difficulity unless there is no diffrence between relisic difficulity. I started that difficulity becuase i heard it was short and it was.
How does it look / run on pc?
