Gaming Bits writes: "Sam Fisher is back, and he is different, in a good way. Ubisoft has taken many liberties and changes up the mechanics from the old games. You can now "mark and execute" your enemies and move like never before. With a 4 to 6 hour campaign, a totally different 3 to 4 hour co-op campaign, the game is short but very good. Ubisoft Montreal has removed the spies versus mercs competitive multiplayer that everyone loved from the previous entries in the series, which is a letdown. There is a great mix of stealth action and third-person shooting mechanics along with some new mechanics. Even with a cliché story, Splinter Cell Conviction is a solid package as a whole."
