Monster Hunter is a franchise known for its brutal difficulty, clunky controls and enormous monsters. Originally on Sony platforms published by Capcom - most notably the PSP - Monster Hunter is a big seller in Japan, but has failed to hit the Western market by storm. With the expanded audience and massive install base on Nintendo's Wii, Capcom has set out to popularize the series in the West with Monster Hunter Tri. As the Monster Hunter series is geared toward seasoned gamers, Capcom was challenged with the task of making Tri easily accessible for any gamer to enjoy, and in doing so, they have produced one of the most visually stunning and rewarding games ever to grace the Wii.
