Digital Spy writes: "The term 'real-time strategy' and Command & Conquer have become synonymous over the years, and that's no surprise given that the series' standout entries have embodied all of the genre's hallmarks. From the Red Alert titles to the Generals series, the franchise has long provided budding tacticians with some of the most intense campaigns around. For the final entry in its long-running Tiberian saga, developer EA has really shaken things up, turning its back on traditional RTS staples in favour of an entirely different approach. This is a bold move on the studio's part, and one that doesn't really pay off."
