E3 2007: Killzone 2 Impressions IGN

Tonight, Sony Computer Entertainment finally pulled the curtains back from its highly-anticipated first-person shooter, Killzone 2. IGN was there and writes:

"The opening was once again fantastic, but we couldn't help but sit there and think, "When are we finally going to see some in-game footage?" The only thing was that we had been looking at in-game footage. As soon as our soldier hits the ground and his gun comes into view, very much like what we saw with the opening to Resistance, we couldn't help but think, "Holy hell, all of that was in-game?"

Indeed, it's quickly apparent that Guerilla has come much closer to the original trailer than most anyone thought possible. It's not 100% identical to be sure, but there are times (quite often) when it's really, really damn close."

The story is too old to be commented.

Wow.

Can't wait for Videos.

EDIT:

Killzone 2 is the first game to really show(blow your mind) what
blu-ray discs can do for gaming. Good Effing Find Husso.

- wtf happened to 1up and kotaku being the first to release the news? They were beaten to the punch on the most hyped game at e3?

From the sound of it, this seems like it could truly bring the "wow" factor everyone had when they first played Call of Duty 1. Can't wait for the trailer at 3p tomorrow.

I'm glad for Guerilla. They have taken so much crap for over 2 years.

Wow! If IGN.com are accurate about there experiences with Killzone, Halo 3 will come in for some flack.

I love the Halo francise as any frequent reader on here knows, but I was disapointed with the Halo 3 Single Player Trailer.

If Killzone 2 matches the E3'05 trailer in Real-Time, then Sony has already won the E3 war, plus it will sell no end of consoles.
