MSN: Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction Review

Sam Fisher, the legendary stealth soldier, is back - angrier and more action-oriented than before. Having cut ties with Third Echelon, his shadowy former paymasters, Fisher is dragged back into the fray to find out the truth about his daughter's death. He's an angry rogue agent.

Along the way, Fisher ends up trying to stop a conspiracy to kill the US president and plant electrical grid-frying EMP bombs all over Washington DC. Essentially, the plot is a terrible mess of 24 clichés and Modern Warfare 2-style attempts to stir up US patriotic fears/fervour. It's unbelievably convoluted and dumb.
